If Gerken wasn't also making errors then I'd agree but his performances have been pretty shaky too. I do feel it's a toss up but I lean to Bart as the potential upside is much bigger. |
If both are playing to their potential then Bart is the superior keeper, but he's been a shadow of himself when has played this season. Think Gerken will start, but as I've said previously neither feels me with confidence, having a solid and dependable keeper could make all the difference. Unfortunately, neither are fulfilling that criteria currently. |  |

Nobody has made more individual errors leading directly to goals than Pennington though. And he's not even our player so we can't benefit from any learning he might be doing. |

No vendetta, he's just not very good. If he was our own youngster I might cut him a bit more slack but paying other teams youngsters to make mistakes regularly isn't something I'm a huge fan of. How do you propose playing Pennington alongside Collins without dropping Chambers. | |

I'd just like to see having an experienced and seasoned professional next to him might help him more. No disrespect to Chambers, he's played a lot of games, but at this level or lower. Collins has played consistently at a higher level and might be able to give him that guidance he lacks. I think Chambers will be paired with Collins in all honesty, so I agree with you. To be fair to Chalobah, he's been one of our shining lights more recently and one of PH's better signings. Personally, I want him to start as he offers more than any of our midfield youngsters.
