I love his positive attitude too.

Unfortunately he’s inherited the worst Ipswich squad in living memory.

His name’s Paul Lambert not Paul Daniels.

He can be positive all he wants but if we go down and he has only won 1 or 2 games (or zero...) then i very much hope he isn't our manager next year.

I love how people on here are still impressed at press conference performance over actual results.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Isn't he in a similar situation to Burley when he took over midway through 94/95? Took him a long time to turn things around, including some humiliations along the way, but was definitely worth sticking with him in the long-run.

I get your point (the one you're labouring ad nauseam) but do I get the impression you don't like Lambert much and are going to hammer home that point regardless of what happens next?

Agree completely. PL can be at the start of something here and build from the foundation upwards, it could potentially be a very exciting project. I really like his ethos where all the sides at the club play in the same manner, so the transition for the players - from team to team - is easy. That’s going to take time and is not something that can occur overnight.

I think the problem is to do with the players he has.
Crazy idea but that's what I think.

Plus it's probably better not to tell the press what he secretly thinks about the squad. You know ... morale and all that ...

It’s the lack of confidence that’s not helping either to be fair. If we could just win a game it would make all the difference.

This.

Not really 'this', would understand if he has had the ability to stamp his own mark on the squad. But at the moment the squad is still an assemblement of Paul Hurst's mess.

We just need to get any win under Lambert.
He is the manager to take us forward with us staying in this division or not.

I still find it strange how people are trying to find negatives.

I think we win tomorrow and our come back starts at 3pm tomororw.

Agree entirely, don't know why people are determined to find negatives here.

That is his trope on TWTD, He wouldn't be able to find the positives in winning the lottery 4 weeks in a row if it happened.

We are seven points adrift at the bottom of Division Two and Norwich are top. Happy days are here again.

Given the results so far, surely this works the other way - you have to go looking for positives rather than the other way around...

If we languished in the 2nd or 3rd tiers for the next 100 years Norwich would still not surpass our Div 1 Title UEFA Cup and FA Cup triumphs. Their time will come again against us. Let them enjoy their moderate success.
