Having just attended the PR send off for The Beat, I have to say as sad a day as it is , seeing hundreds of Town fans clapping and singing "One Kevin Beattie" made me feel incredibly proud of our club & it's fans. With so much negativity around the club, experiencing such an event as today makes me bloody proud to be a Town fan. This is a great club, be proud of it just occasionally. Today, sad as it is, reminds me why I love Ipswich Town FC.

Watched the live East Anglian feed,both of us in tears but proud of our club.
I was about to switch Radio Caroline of as the courtage appeared after passing Sir Alf when Journey - Don`t Stop Believing started playing, the title is enough, but this great song also includes the lyric

When you think that with all the rubbish in my life with difficulties at home with my wife's health and the pressure that puts on us as a family where you manage to just about cope every day someone posts a video of the great Kevin Beatties parade past Portman Road...and I cry
how daft is that with all the stuff that's going on in my life which would tear most families apart where I cope and struggle every day the funeral of the great Kevin Beattie brings me to tears

Same here. I feel privileged to have been born long enough ago to have caught that era (I was 7 just after the FA Cup final). I don’t think I appreciated it at the time, but I’m pretty chuffed now that my earliest football memories are from the packed Churchmans stand (standing on my blue milk crate).
Those really were the days.

I went along today. The majority of people there seemed to be old farts like me (64) but nevertheless there was a wonderful turn out - I'd say close to a thousand.
