I am so pleased for all of them, not just the 11 who started. We have to hope that the injuries aren't too bad as a result of the cheating b******d Colombians.

England playing out from the back, confidently is something I would never see. Finding a midfield player with a simple pass. Awesome. We can actually play football. And take penalties. bloody hell !

Come on though - admit it, there were times when you nearly had kittens though! ;)
Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

Nothing beats that 5-1.
That's like saying *some other result* beats Town hammering Norwich.
But I take your point. 'We' were as classy as possible under the circumstances.
Tournament matches are just a different kettle of fish though.
We dominated the whole game tonight and inevitably conceded a last minute equaliser. Something that the golden generation would've predictably done. The difference is the golden generation never ended up having the nerve to grind out the victory.
These boys have done it first time of asking. A lot comes down to not feeling the same level of pressure, an understated amount comes down to luck, but I think most comes down to Southgate.
I've never been happier to admit I got something so wrong. When Southgate got the job it felt so uninspiring and seemed as if they said "oh ffs just give it to Gareth". He has ended up impressing me immensely though.

I'm not knocking anything I saw tonight.
And agree fully with most of your sentiment.
You're feeling proud. Nothing wrong with that.
I've been yelling at the tv all night mate.
Ha.
Edit: Southgate. Again, agree. I was hardly inspired but he comes across so well. He is England through and through without the sliminess we've seen before from 'yes' men.

I actually watched at Portman Road. That was the first shootout I've ever seen us win (I was too young for Spain). Such an amazing moment.

We dominated up to the 80th minute, sat back for the rest of normal time and invited them on to us. First period of ET they were the dominate side and had the momentum, we'd gone. Thankfully, during the second period of ET we got back to what we did well during that first 80 minutes playing football, passing the ball through the midfield and created some opportunities. Showed resilience after being down and out, bring on the Swedes!!!
Forgot to add, if Maguire keeps playing the way he is he won't be at Leicester City for very long next season. Think they'll get offered a huge transfer sum for his services from one of the big boys. Just think, it wasn't so long ago he was plying his trade at Sheffield United!!
Agree about Maguire. What a player. Though shalt not pass! Stones also impressed.
Pickford? Not sure I like his strutting walk. Looks like he's constipated. Cracking save, very strong arm.
Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

At this rate, Trippier will be in the running for a place in the team of the tournament.
For a bloke hardly any of us would have put in the England eleven at the turn of the year, that’s amazing.
I may get panned for this but I thought Trippier should have done better on the line for their goal. Looked small and crouched to me - think the bounce did him but had he been upright think it would have been away and we’d have won it in normal time
He was good otherwise though
