Big screen at Portman road? 19:36 - Jun 3 with 7255 viewsboroughblue

What are your thoughts on a big screen at Portman road? Most other clubs have them, and I suppose it's a way of updating the stadium. I'm not saying get a spinning one the strange lot across the border, just a standard one. If we were to do it, would surely be put between the saf and cob old stands to replace the score board thier. Would sort of cover up the gap between the stands.

I don't know, maybe I'm struggling with the lack of football atm.

It would need to do the “Stuck in a corner?” business or we wouldn’t even notice it.

I personally prefer our scoreboards than most clubs screens.

A6 is probably the size of the screen ME would pay for...

The addition of two screens was among the plans pre-relegation and that was where one of them was going to go.

Phil are 2 large screens going to be installed at portman road?

I thought the club had said that this wouldn't be deemed necessary or justifiable until such time as we get promoted to the Prem. But, as each year goes past, it does seem odd that we don't have one. Does anyone know how much it costs to install and run these things?

You'd think that there might be some kind of deal that could be done with a sponsor, which involves them helping fund the installation costs and getting naming rights on it, or a certain amount of advertising on it.

I don't see the point of big screens at Portman Road. It's not as if we ever have replays worth showing.

Maybe they could show something else on there while the game is on. Soccer Saturday maybe?

You have to assume it is to entertain people that don't like football or to let people know who Ipswich number 4 is etc.

They serve no purpose at all

That'd get the punters in, give season ticker holders Ipads that have to be returned each game, bit like a Boris bike.

Yes, amazing how we went the whole season without scoring a single goal, or having any kind of goal-mouth action.
