That’s a very strange one. Boro, for all the money they’ve spent are a bit of a mess.

And yet, here we are, alongside them.

They have been up and down and they are with us on points in the same league.

We can't afford what some clubs can, and we operate within our relative means, and I think that's something to be proud of.

I want to to see this club run properly above all other aspirations first and foremost.

Hopefully the rest can come later.

Just watched them hammer sheffield wednesday away! Can only assume the decision was made some time ago and a new manager has just been agreed.

That was the only conclusion that I could reach. Otherwise it would be rather strange.

Since us buddy.

Ups and downs if you like.

Like you say, more injection. I'm proud to follow Town, minions though we are.

I'm sure you feel the same.

Edit: You do realise they are receiving parachute money of course.

My Wednesday supporting mate who has a very reliable ITK source seems to think Carvalhal’s departure will be announced tomorrow too.

I’m all for stability, and a club trying to do things the right way. don’t get me wrong. We’ve had 16 years of plodding along. Be nice if we could do a little better

But Borough have been 'up'. They do have money.

There is no fair comparison to be made there.

We're doing ok compared to some.

I think the axe was swung after they lost at Millwall last week - it only hit Monk's neck today.

True.

I'm sure ME would have sacked Mick last season if he could have afforded too. But those ST absentees must have scuppered that plan.

**This is a petulant dig - no need to take it seriously**

Yet again. We cannot compare those with parachute payments.

We are our own entity.

I'm not criticising you or Illers, I have also complained and suggested the possibility of change too.

But let us all at least try to stay on the same page and be realistic.

After spending best part of £30m? Failed at Leeds and Boro now and Swansea was built on Martinez’s good work.

Another Sherwood type charlatan and not sad to see him go.

Pulis in to take them up, Mick style?

Apologies if im wrong, but there are 7 teams above us in the league that don't/or have parachute payments which to rely on. Yes, there are rich benefactors to those teams above is too. Not denying that.

Whilst I agree with your point on ME not having enough money - I still must at least point-out, his money has been haemorrhaging in regard to ITFC. The dwindling ST sales, although not the entirety of his shortfall, hasn't helped.

I think his handling of the club has been insane. Make no mistake.*

Missed opportunity after missed opportunity.

I got caught up in the Borough thing on here, that's all.

I still would rather be us with a more stable approach. And I wouldn't be averse to McC being our Wenger in that respect.

Edit: *In some aspects.

Where did i say i did? :)

I’d suggest not being in at least the Top 6 and arguably not the top 2 after spending £50m in the summer is playing a part?

Pulis being available i’m sure is also a factor
