| Forum Thread | Tom Fellows ... at 20:25 17 May 2024
Haven't watched heaps of WBA this year so don't have a great sample size. However, Fellows looks like he's come on a fair amount from when I first saw him and has looked a real player this last game and a half. Certainly looks like he could be a fit here. He's only 20, has plenty of pace, has a trick or two, and looks like he works hard out of possession. Can also play RWB which may well be interesting as you'd think we would play with 5 at the back next season on a number of occasions. |
| Forum Thread | I'd be against loaning Omari again ... at 10:50 8 May 2024
I think my stance would be permanent or bust. With the Prem regulations meaning we are unable to register more than two players on loan at any one time, I think it's vitally important we save those two spots for proven Premier League players who we might be able to get at a discounted price. Additionally, if we are going to give Prem minutes to younger players, I'd much rather we are buying those players and creating value for Ipswich Town as opposed to Chelsea. Potentially the chance we might be able to negotiate an option to buy which I'd definitely be for. Just not a straight loan. [Post edited 8 May 11:30]

| Forum Thread | Sinclair Armstrong anyone? at 16:06 7 May 2024
Really enjoyed watching him this year and he certainly gave our boys a decent test in both matches. 21 in June. 39 apps, 3 goals, 3 assists but offers so much more than goal scoring. Pretty good hold up play, can run in behind and feels like he fits our system well. Would be available for presumably a few million? 2/3 should probably get it done and would be a great long term piece if next year didn't go as we all hope. Would be excited to see what McKenna could do with him if given the time. |
| Forum Thread | Loaning Players Out - 2024/2025 at 09:19 7 May 2024
With the impending jump up to the Premier League, it feels like there will be a fair few who will need EFL loans. Intrigued as to where others think we land on these four ... Slicker - L1 loan? Doesn't feel like there isn't too much value in being third choice again this year. Baggot - Top end L1 loan? Bristol Rovers keen on him back but it feels like he can make another jump next year. Humphries - Top end L1 loan? Maybe one of the relegated three? Al-Hamidi - I'm not sure he needs a loan? I think he will benefit from being settled and learning from Prem players/ infrastructure. |
| Forum Thread | Prem reunion? - Cresswell, Webster, Mings ... at 10:48 6 May 2024
One thing that we will definitely need next year is a little bit of Premier League know how from a few experienced heads. Feels like any of these three ex town boys could be realistic options ... - Mings could need a prem loan following his injury - Webster will want more regular minutes & he obviously has a very close relationship to the team through chappers - Cressy will be available on a free and could be the LB cover we need. Definite concerns about his engine/ age at 34. |
| Forum Thread | Possible Hull transfer targets ....? at 19:35 5 May 2024
I've been really impressed with Hull this season and certainly wouldn't mind if we went for a few of theirs (inc loanees) next year. These three would definitely fit our current transfer strategy .. CM - Tyler Morton (21) - Spent the last two years playing week in, week out in the Champ. Very durable having played 40 & 39 league games respectively. High resale value whatever happens. Feels a lot like the 'do it all 6' types that we currently have with Mass & Sam. Likely available this summer. RW - Jaden Philogene (22) - 32 games, 12 goals, 6 assists. Offers something different to Wes with the little bit of magic you need in the Prem to make things happen. £20 million + but another one with high resale value whatever happens. Linked with him last summer as well. AM - Fabio Carvalho (21) - 20 games, 9 goals, 2 assists. Feels like a similar player to Chappers as that 'shadow striker' type. Could offer us another ST alternative if we had to play differently at the bigger clubs. Likely up for sale this summer. Another one with great value whatever happens. Honourable mentions to Greaves & Delap who will likely be playing top of the champ/ bottom of the Prem whatever happens next year! Makes you wonder how Hull only finished 7th with real quality through the spine of the team! [Post edited 5 May 19:36]

Such a great team performance last night and a particularly colossal performance from Cam. However, how good was George Edmundson? His ability to step into massively important games throughout the season and put in 8/10 performances has been absolutely key to our success this year. [Post edited 1 May 8:52]

| Forum Thread | Hope For Hull | Hull Home Form at 12:06 24 Apr 2024
If It gives anyone a shred a positivity the MKM stadium has hardly been a fortress for Hull this season. In fact quite the opposite, they've won more games and points away from home that they have at home. Since the turn of the year, they have played 10 matches at home (9 Champ, 1 FA cup) winning just two (Millwall & QPR), drawing five (Boro, Leicester, Birmingham x 2, West Brom) and losing three (Swansea, Norwich, Stoke). Fingers crossed we get them on a bad day! |
| Forum Thread | Charlie Patino a possible summer arrival? at 12:57 1 May 2023
Certainly seems to fit the profile of GC20, McKenna & Ashton. Young, technical, already proven at Championship level with a likely decent sell on value.
