Good solid start for first home game against typical Millwall team who kicked anything that moved.
Looks to be good team spirit that has been missing for years, Skuse looks a great signing, I think we are in for a very good season.

Amazing start to our home record this season. So happy to get the three points after being disappointed about losing quite harshly reading and Stevenage. Ipswich dominated and where in control constantly during the match thought smith and chambers did the job they had to do well even if they where not majorly troubled at all this was the same with loach. Pleased to see Cressy starting and not limping off at all so it looks like he has fully recovered which is very good. I thought Hewitt played amazing today got some good crunching tackles in, made himself known and dealt well under pressure a definite contender for motm.tabb was a bit off today and didn't really for me get stuck in at all this was I think the same with hyam but he did play well towards the end of the match. Skuse was amazing today really excited to see how he does for us, could be a major part of our promotion push this season or next. Edwards was good today got some good balls in made some good tackles and again did what he needed to do as he normally does but his age is starting to catch up with him. Murphy and Mcgoldrick are to similar need Taylor to parter up with Mcgoldrick in order to get the goals and chances but they played okay today. However murphy needs to work on his first touch I just think its rubbish and mess up the flow of the play. Enjoyed the game if we play like this then we will defo be in for a chance for play offs COYB!!!!

Enjoyed the game and what a great result, I honestly feel we can get something at QPR, which will give us an impressive start, considering we will have arguably played the hardest 2 games of the season in the first 3.

Stood out, as did Mcgoldrick and I think if we can get the ball to Mcgoldrick's feet in the box and with the ease of which he creates imidiate space, that he will be our 20 goals a game striker. May need Tabb or Wordswoth in midfield with Skuse to achieve this?

I was thinking at the start of the second half that that they would score first and shut up shop but thankfully that did not happen.
It was a very edgy game with some bad tackles going in and I thought someone was going to get sent off.
I was not happy with the ref and one of the linesman was putting his flag up every time they put their hands up for something and gave a few wrong decisions of which annoyed the home supporters and they called him a few names quite loudly advised him to go to spec savers
and used a few words that I am not aloud to put on here.
Its nice to get the 3 points but it was not a very good game and the stats will show that we have played three games and none of our strikers have scored yet.
When we went two goals up I was hoping Mick would bring on another striker and change it a bit because the two guys we have up their at the moment is not working and we cant keep relying on the midfielders and the defenders to score the goals.
Mick has made some great signings so far but we lack that regular goal scorer up front.
Billy Sharp would be ideal and put the finishing touches to our team.
To be fair the season just started and maybe the strikers we have got will start banging in goals and prove me wrong and I can eat humble pie as long as its with fresh cream.
Cant wait for next home game against Leeds and buying my new town shirt.

As has been said above, we looked solid, nothing spectacular but hard working and to be fair untroubled. Loach - looked better and clearly cares passionately about the club, made one very good decision to punch in the second hald. Elliott Hewitt - Steady and seems an old head on young shoulders. Cresswell - Looked classy, and does the simple things well, quite possibly our best signing for many a year. Smith - Solid as a rock, he will become one of our great centre backs, the towering header for the goal was Beattiesque! Chambers - Captain but all in name, cares and passionate, looked untroubled and strong. Skuse - First viewing and looks good, not the biggest but combines fight and I suspect has some killer passes in his locker. Hyam - An important cog in midfield, he was not outstanding but again did the job well. Tabb - Got a footballing brain quicker than most, sees things and hard working again. Edwards - The legs are going, but the brain is not, again not spectacular on Saturday but did what he needed to. Murphy - For big man did not win much in the air at all and his lack of pace was again visible, however he did work tirelessly. McGoldrick - Super, my man of the match - clever and inventive and always likely to cause defences problems, another with a good footballing brain. Anderson - we did not see too much but I did like what I saw, another good signing by the looks of it. Tunnicliffe - I want to see more, super run which should have led to a goal, would like to see him start with Skuse.

All in all a good display - much better when we get the ball on the ground though, as the crosses for the 2 OG's show. I think this team will not be spectacular but they will win games and will show passion and desire.
