We have a new star in Omari Hutchinson. What a performance. Great save from Hladky in the second half. We fought hard and deserved the win. Well done super blues.

Gritty, hard working, bodies on the line performance. Huge sliding tackles from Clarke, Burns and Taylor as good as a goal. Everyone worked their socks off. The biggest compliment you could pay to Hutchinson was that Broadhead wasn't missed. Every single one of the squad played their part in this one. For all of the ball Southampton had, Hladky didn't have too much to do. Made one superb save and another good one from a long range effort that swerved at the last minute. This side certainly know how to win in many different ways! Atmosphere was also unreal

Just enough to get 3 points. Crosses were not accurate enough to cause mayhem. Solid workrate all-round. We can do better. KM and staff worked their magic again.

You can tell the difference that KM has made to Hutchinson's game. He just wasn't up to it in his first few games. He didn't pass at the right time and he didn't track back. Now you can see that KM is molding him into a very good player. Well done all!

What a hard fought and wqell earned win. makes all that hard work leading up to the match so much more worthwhile. Another excellent referee and no strange decisions from him. Massimo is still the better player to assist Sam. Midfield was a bit thin in the second half when they brougt on extra bodies. Omari was my MoM and deserves his champagne for an excellent start debut display. Lots of more of it. Our defensive unit dug in and resisted everything that the Saints could throw at them. Could see why they are Premiere league.
