..... has to be said, for all the possession we had in the first half we didn't really threaten too much.

I know confidence is low - but we should be more adventurous than this at home.

Have always believed that the best form of defence is attack - rightly or wrongly - certainly at home.

The pendulum swung in Cardiff's favour when there was the break for Scotland to replace Campbell.

h32 - u r scaring me, two posts that i agree with !!!
Turning point for me was JET''s miss, 2-0 at that point would have sealed it i think. Didnt need to burst the net , could just have stroked it in. DJ should have scored in first half too.
When you look back on the whole game Cardiff didnt really miss any sitters, Loach didnt make any great saves, but we (mainly Loach im afraid) gave them two goals.
Liked the look of DJ and particularly Wellens, but PJ needs some results and fast. The table doesnt lie and we can moan about bad luck all you like but 7 points from 10 games isnt anywhere near good enough.

1 win in 10 I think you'll find...no win at home since March, truly dreadful.

Also surprise that Wellens and Drury partnership in the center, Jewell has tinkered around with a partnership in this position far far too much already, Wellens won't help this. I thought as the second half progressed Drury was quilty several times of giving the ball away needlessly,

H32..Its very simple why 1up it drains the life out of a forward and when a chance comes they fluff at it.It would have been great to see dj and jason up front. But i think its time up, managers get sacked for less and its a results buisness and the league dosent lie.

Players got leggy n dropped back about 65mins. JET was on top form until then, after it was obvious he needed to come off, he was barely walking around the pitch.
From 65 we weren't stopping crosses, tackling or even moving for each other. Thats either shocking tactics, poor fitness or both.
Paul still doesn't know how to play 1 up front effectively.
Wrong substitutions at the wrong times. Jewell has to go.

As for Loach, yeah shocking on 2 accounts but if the team had dealt with things before then there wouldn't have been anything to deal with.

Bobblehat - maybe it's you thinking and posting logically !! - as I have said, I will always say it as I see it, and fairly, - please or offend.

Not a Jewell man - but genuinely felt for him tonight - he had the players out there that should have done the job for him.
Quite simply, second half, naivety and lack of certain players commitment took over. Shame on them.

No team should ever be capable of dominating play as per the first half - and give the game away as they did.

Having said that Jewells tactics / decisions continue to bemuse me - tonight being no exception.

The bottom line is we would have won the match if we swapped goalkeepers. Watford fans warned us that Loach is poor and they are right. Yes he loves Ipswich and has said sorry but the guy just cannot take crosses and unfortunately the number 2 goalkeeper is no better.
This is another position that should have been addressed in the summer with a top quality keeper who is worth at least 10 points a season. Tonight Loach lost us all 3 points not helped by us sitting back mainly due to us playing only one up front where Scotland was not as effective as DJ Campbell. I really despair for Jewell now as we showed how well we can play tonight but statistics do not lie and no wins in nine at home, and three wins in the last 18 or so at home and away is not all down to bad luck. No other Club in the Country would keep their Manager with those statistcis. I so want the guy to succeed and he will probably get the next 3 games at least. No wins there and he is gone.

Why oh why, do none of our attacking players and midfielders go beyond the striker. We should have scored more or at the very least made them work harder to defend these balls in by putting them under pressure. Everytime a ball goes in there is either Chops or DJ today in the box with all the others 10 or even 20 yards behind. Even our full backs, do not get forward as much as they should. too Cressy 84 minutes to do an overlap. If I can see this surely Jewell can?

This has gone on too long for it just to be the playing staff so can only come to the conclusion that it is the tactics, Jewell out? Not for me or any of us to decide I am afraid just so angry and frustrated.
