Charlton Athletic 4 v 4 Ipswich Town SkyBet League One Saturday, 29th October 2022 Kick-off 15:00 |
grinch added 18:25 - Oct 29 jj should have finished the 2 easy chances and Morsy should have played out the last minute by going to corner flag feels likes a defeat to a very poor Charlton team. Worse game Walton played in a Town shirt Ball was good today and also Davis...Burns was very ineffective all afternoon Billysherlockblue added 19:00 - Oct 29 Most points we have lost this year are not the other team playing well but humping the ball into our box and we cant defend them.the defence aims for the clean sheets ... the forward s get goals . Both are equally important. Come on lads its a TEAM game. Help added 08:08 - Oct 30 Individually some mistakes, collectively some errors. I appreciate we play at a high tempo, but a common theme is the drop off with 10-15 minutes to go and the opposition putting us under immense pressure or even scoring. Some poor lapses in concentration at times, ad passes not finding their target Walton - worst game for the club Donacien - a couple of good tackles and some not so good defending at times Woolfy - fairly solid and some good passes Edmundson - concerns me at times, not the man he was last season Burns - not the man he was last season, be interesting to see if he goes to the world cup how we fair without him, he might have to fight for his place. Ball - super performance Morsy - tries so hard and drives the team, but needs to think more otherwise a 3 match ban will arrive all to soon Leif - We do need to utilise this man so much more, and get a partner for him down that left like D&B are at times on the right Chaplin - high work rate Jackson - missed a sitter, pace, but not much else John-Jules - worked hard but no final product Ladapo - after a couple of bad games, has come good in the last 2 Harness - not sure what he has been on the last couple of games, off the pace, poor passing. Needs to think harder Edwards - adds pace and skills needs a partner to work with down the wings Keogh - came on to do a job but did not do it. Kieran - Beginning to see cracks appearing that need addressing. From not conceding, to conceding to many in games. Player changes that are not working, either from the start or subs. Injuries clearly affecting the fitness of players as the drop off is becoming obvious now we are a few games into the season. Without players coming back any new injuries may have a serious impact on performance. timleatham added 16:52 - Oct 30 What a heartbreaker! Can’t quite believe we did not manage to win that. We deserved to however fair play to Charlton who I thought played quite well. I wish McKenna would not keep changing the forward line up every match and do think that Ladapo should be playing ahead of JJ each match. Morsy was my MOM. Robert_Garrett added 21:10 - Oct 30 No good crying over spilt milk - theres more where thats come from.Brush it off and get on with it. We might rue the dropped points at the end of the season but here nought can be done about it now. MoM Ball and Davis.......Christian Walton had an off-day so did the whole defence at 96 minutes! A spectacle with pulsating football is what we have wanted for years - it has its down side too. Lonmgest match this season with 10 minutes added on so I cant figure out how? Maltster added 12:19 - Oct 31 Janoi Donacien has been responisble for the majority of the goals we have cconceded recently. Perhaps he needs a rest. Burns defensive work hasan't been up to standard either
