In a season in which Town were outplayed on plenty of occasions, no one dominated the Blues to the extent that the David McGoldrick-inspired Blades did in the season's penultimate match.

Despite the Taricco Wars and the long history of niggle between the clubs, Sheffield United's promotion seemed popular among Town fans, to some extent as most wish McGoldrick well and partly as the Blades showed that promotion from the Championship can still be achieved without having huge sums of money.

The other two promoted sides, Aston Villa and Norwich, also feature strongly, while West Brom are perhaps a surprise inclusion. Brentford thoroughly took Town apart in the late season game at Griffin Park.
