| News Comment | Wright: We Must Cut Out Errors at 14:47:27
I agree with Cornard Blue...Joe Royle is the best manager we have had since Burley. Appalling the way he was treated. Having said that, I think Jewell can still do a job but do agree we need to give some of the younger players a go, and sign players hungry from lower leagues to compliment the experience we have in Bullard etc... We definitely won't get anywhere by getting rid of Jewell. Who else, realistically are we going to get in? O'Neill wouldn't come anywhere near us, neither would Curbs... Just keep supporting your team, your players, your manager and we will get there but guess what, like most things in life it will take hard work, patience and time. |
| News Comment | Premier League Duo Linked With Andrews at 17:06:49
The additional point to consider is if Blackburn are in a relegation scrap themselves - possibly with a new manager at the helm, they may want him back? |
| News Comment | Jewell Confident He Will Be Given Time at 12:50:11
PJ is the man to get us up - either this season or next. Played some good stuff v Cov. Chops and Scotland linked up well and most of the team look up for it, despite the tough start to the season. Keep the faith. |
| News Comment | Sonko: Match Went Well at 09:19:08
er, spoken to Reading and other fans and there is a reason this guy is on a free. He doesn't lack commitment but is basically awful. |

thanks for all the advice/opinions...I will photo the results either way. Doctor Allbran - its not a big toilet, honest! Quite a humble little room really..but room enough for framed stuff on the wall(s), just...its the only time I get peace and quiet, so I like to have nice surroundings... Any other donations to the sporting toilet are welcome, I am hoping to create the world's smallest sporting museum |
| News Comment | Hull Confirm Bullard Loan Deal as Jewell Moves to Make Austin First Permanent Signing at 11:56:47
Bullard is quality. Know a few Fulham fans who (before they hated him) said he was class. Distribution and work rate awesome. On the negative side, talking to Hull fan today in the office and he reckons that cos of his knee injury, he won't make any tackles, as lives in fear of getting injured again. So will need someone to do the crunching while he does the nice stuff! |
| News Comment | Press Conference This Morning at 09:21:18
agree Roy needed to go, too close to relegation so worth getting someone in just to ensure survival. but Paul Jewell??! that is going from bad to worse. Hughton for me. Doubt Curbs would come. |
| News Comment | Keane Set to Ring Changes for Barnsley Clash at 16:55:01
whether you are pro/anti Keane, you are entitled to your opinion. The one thing I would say that in any walk of life/business/sport/the universe, it's never black and white, so its no good just blaming Keane if you are anti him or just blaming the players if you are pro him. If he was as bad a manager as some make out, we would be rock bottom. If he was as good as some made out, we would be top. Reality (which will differ even within the ITFC squad) combined with the element of chance that goes with sport in particualr is somewhere in the middle. Its just whether we stick with Roy or not and results will determine that and whether he is the manager next season or not. the main thing is to support the Town. simple as. |
| News Comment | Keane: It\'s Like Groundhog Day at 20:02:14
should he stay or should he go if he says that Trigs is mine He will be there til the end of time whether Roy the boy stays or goes it will be tighter than Holly Willoughby's dress at the bottom |
| News Comment | Town Back in Bottom Three at 13:11:23
It's time for Keane to go. I remember watching Ipswich take on Bradford @ Bradford in the dark days of 'Drunken Duncan must go' banners and quite rightly he went as we wasn't good enough. Keane is not good enough, it was a gamble in the first place, we should have gone for an experience Championship manager like Warnock or Holloway. Not everyone's favourites but a damn sight more experience than Keane, who admittedly took Sunderland up but on the back of big money backing, which despite the hype, we haven't really got. We need to get back to the long-term managers that made our club a success. The people that will bring the youth players through and back them, cos they are the players that will fight for the club and grow with the club over the years. Instead we let them go out on loan or ditch them, without giving a proper run (ie most of the season) in the team. All this hype around Marcus Evans money and Roy Keane has set us back years. Lets get back to the Ipswich ways of long-term youth policy and backing players week in week out. I wanted Roy to succeed but he isn't cutting the mustard... |

I can see why the person who wrote the blog thinks that way and I am not in total disagreement, in fact I can't make my mind up about Keano. But what I do know is that it takes time to get things right and that at Ipswich we do live in the past and hanker for ex players as managers. So lets see what Keano is doing in a monhts or so's time and in the meantime get behind the boys who put on that blue shirt. You can't expect anyone, Roy Keane or otherwise, to do it overnight... and the thing with Keane is that clearly he knows his own mind and the kind of players he wants, its just whether he has enough time or not i.e. if results don't improve, then he (and we) won't have the chance to see what happens and make the changes in culture and staff that could make a difference. |

interesting blog. I think we messed up when Sheepshanks funded outrageous spending in the Prem. and we have never fully recovered. Inside info is that Keane has lost the dressing room and will walk soon anyway. Should never have got rid of BFG - did wonders on a shoestring budget after all promises had been broken to him. |
| News Comment | Taylor Move Off But Town Back for Wood? at 21:24:27
the comments about people not joining us are two fold - one because we aren't that appealing cos we are BOTTOM! and going nowhere fast, and two, everything gets reported these days - years ago we enquired about players and staff and didn't get them but it wasn't in the press everyday - that's just football these days and especially with Town having such a high profile manager too. lets just get behind Roy and the boys, get some youth in like Mr Wickham and we will rebuild. Wood could be good but number one priority has to be a 20 goals a season striker! |
| News Comment | Taylor Move Off But Town Back for Wood? at 11:34:59
no point in sacking him. Yes, we are bottom but we are not getting tonked every week either. what we really need, and we haven't got, is an out and out goalscorer, who will get us 20 goals in a season. Keano is the right man, just needs time and I am confident we will get there - mid table finish this season, then up next. |
| News Comment | Keane Again Unhappy With Defending at 13:31:14
its gonna be a long hard season. Glad to see people's expectations have calmed down from the end of last season though. the problems are clearly at the back. have been for the past few seasons. need a Paul Robinson type in the mix, someone who takes no prisoners...interestingly I tried to sign Rosenior for us on Champ Man but his wage demands were too high - glad to see that reality is not that harsh come on you bloooooooooS! |
