Agree with Bazza above here - it would be good maybe to see in some of the games where we are not quite breaking down massed defence (95% of home games) going with two up top and only one "Number ten" in the last half hour of games - remains to be seen who links up the best of Ladapo, Hirst and Broadhead in that regard but its great to have options that we havent had up to now. Looking forward to seeing Edwards this season - exhilarating player early part of last season. Piggs with a run in the team will score goals- havent seen ladapo play yet but piggot held the ball up well In a number of games early part of the season. Was a little unlucky later in the season remember 2 or 3 woodwork hits. He scored 20 odd for AFC Wimbledon my local team the year before and they wouldve gone down without him. Wish him the best of luck for this season - with him ladapo and wacko jacko we just need to add one more ... |

15 years on and they still havent got over it. It was a victory for the footballing world, better quality players winning out over thugs. The Bolton gameplan from minute one was to kick us off the park. Why the big surprise that they had men sent off and conceded penalties? Your gameplan failed and youve just got to accept it! Agree with the posts so far - i think the last time we won there in the league was the title winners in 91/92!
No better time to put it right. Brings back nail-biting memories of 93/94 relegation battle and also last years play off challenge, neither time we won, but it was a favourable outcome.
Theyve not started well at all, I hope we can take advantage ....

jabberjackson theres a great function on TWTD for looking at head to head vs other teams - i dont know why but it doesnt come up as a category but if you google "twtd h2h " then the team you want to see us up against it comes up. Was having a look the other day and yes notts forest we dont come out well against - barring some of the "bigger" clubs - arsenal we have a poor record against but mostly becuase they had the better of us in the early nineties when we were "a wee-bit shaky" at the back ! |
