| News Comment | McCarthy to Talk to Thomas But Quiet Deadline Day at Town at 13:54:29
Same old, same old....like many others, why is it that we supposedly have money to spend, yet MM is totally happy with what we have i.e. backup made from cast offs/freebies who performed so poorly in the cup. Would be a miracle if we make the playoffs imo, with all the others around us strengthening |

If it is 433 then perhaps skuse and Goldies injuries (short term i hope) are a blessing in disguise |

Phil, looking back at that first comment, came across as more annoyed than i should of...just seems like so much penny pinching at ITFC, with as little investment as possible in the hope of miraculous one off 90 million pay off. To the doubters, yes i am a proper supporter and always offer balanced views on here. |

@Marcus yes lack of a calculated gamble at the right moment last season. Mings, Cresswell, and even back to CW, thats 25 million in transfers recieved in 4 years. Spent about 2 million on fees since, and probably a few million on wages for various extra squad players. Tell me you are completely happy we didnt spend on one or two quality players at the right time last season. Wouldnt of broke ITFC would it (no, not suggesting Derby Bburn or Boro sort of spending at all) |

Talk about stubborn as a mule! Clearly keeping the same back 4 hasnt helped get through the rough patch... |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Game We Can't Afford to Lose at 16:22:59
That can only mean playing a defensive minded midfield and playing for a draw then! Slight sarcasm, but hard to be optimistic about end of season given we havent played well consistently for the past 2 months |

14 goals for struggling Col U. With striker specialist TC, worth a punt |

| News Comment | Town 0-1 Derby - Match Report at 16:52:57
Ref= poor Hyam= poor (rusty though) However, i dont get the slaters of Anderson. He was constantly finding space on the RHS today, and making busting runs. It was incredible the amount of times we could of released the ball down the right and didnt. Hyam lacked the range of Skuse/others too slow to release the ball like Mcgoldrick, Mings. Too many of the recent form players had off days unfortunately. However imo Tabb looked well up for it, and Anderson had a decent enough game. Therefore i think Mick got the subs a little wrong today. Smith did poorly with the goal, but otherwise wasnt too bad. |

First post in a few weeks! What a great few months it has been! Imagine finishing on 40-45 points before christmas- that is basically over halfway to the playoff average already. But naturally we would all wish for automatic as it stands now! Fabulous stuff. Boro is a crucial fixture to try and keep them at bay from automatic places, and Bolton will be a typical championship game but as the season is panning out id be fairly confident of getting a point from that, perhaps more COYB |

Another 2 points dropped from a very good position (seemed to have luck on our side as well). We cant realistically expect playoffs with results like this at home |
| News Comment | Cardiff City 3-1 Town at 13:12:10
The difference between how we do this season compared to last is handling the pressure games, or moments in games, which will enable us to secure the extra points needed to be in the playoffs (missed out last season by a couple of wins worth of points). This is why myself and a fair few others on here get rather agitated by games like the forest one and Blackburn, where in all honesty the game should of been wrapped up. Tonight was just one of those nights (seen the goals- very jammy on Baaa-diffs part bar the first one). And so my point leads to this- we must be beating lower ability/budget/expectation teams like Huddersfield at home/and Blackpool away as well tbh. Derby, Watford, The scum, etc would all likely beat these teams |

What a kick in the teeth that was! Taking into account its now 2 late goals in 2 games meaning 4 potential points lost. One little negative out of the way- Mccarthy did alot of chopping and changing in the midfield with 60 odd minutes gone, onwards. Think this disrupted things a bit too much imo. But despite this, we did look very good at times in the second half. Mcgoldrick could of had a hat trick, Bru was sublime with his forward passing. Full backs were excellent again also. ps the ref was shocking today! |
