Best of luck for whatever the future holds Mick and Terry! Maybe one day the facts behind your time as manager will come to light with regard whether finances were available or not. Some say you had funds available if you required them, others say ME needed to release the purse strings. One thing I am certain of you were satisfied that you carried out your role to the best of your ability (some may describe this in another way). Even now with Mick going he is very much a 'marmite' man. My one hope, irrespective of who the new manager is that the fans of this great club that I have supported since a young boy please, please, please come together. Yes, it is football and everyone has an opinion but recently the atmosphere in the ground and on TWTD has not been pleasant. The MM era is over and ME now has a massive decision to make. Whatever ME's decision there will be some that agree and some that disagree all we can do is keep supporting ITFC! P.S. I will admit that I was also going to renew my season ticket regardless of who was manager - I don't always agree with the managers but ITFC is my club!

Skuse Hoping to Be Fit to Face Former Club

I think the system Skuse has to play in does him no favours. I'm no expert but I think every team needs a Skuse type player to break up play, pass it to the nearest team mate and then sit in again. The system he has to play in (certainly against Sheff Utd) meant that the 2 nearest team mates were also defensive minded. Resulting in an endless loop of win ball, pass to another defensive midfielder, who has no instinct to go forward or spot a forward pass, so pass back to defender to lump it up front.

Surely this comment was just to provoke a reaction. You seriously cannot believe that people giving up their season tickets is the cause of the demise of the club?

I am one of those people, having decided that on limited resources and over a hundred mile round trip and the fact the entertainment value was not great (possibly an understatement) that I could no longer justify the expense (I am realistic - I do not expect us to win every game and understand that different games require different tactics). Could I ask that you answer the following question: Why do you believe that so many have decided not to renew - is it really possible that they are all wrong?

Could I enquire whether you have heard any player joining any club on loan that has ever said anything different to " The Gaffer spoke to me and I knew it was the right choice' or words to that effect. My point being that if the boss of his parent club has suggested that going on loan to (in this case) Ipswich would help him, then the player is hardly likely to say in an initial interview "I would rather have not gone there as I don't particularly like the style of football being played there". I'm not saying that is the case but reality is no player is ever going to say any different to that which Connolly said.
