Cheers J, I knew that hug at brum would pay dividends. Recommend sticking panels straight onto walls or batten framework?

..that is the question.

Doing up the bathroom soon. Thinking of using panelling instead of tiles. Anyone had experience of using panelling? Pros? cons? easy to fit as the blurb states?

Have we got any tree experts on the board?

Starting to hit hard over in my part of the west country. You could try contacting the FC or your Local Council Tree Officer? Or even a local nursery who might be interested in propagating.

There is a disease wiping out a significant number of our native ash..you could have the Lazarus of ash trees.

Of course it's top notch firewood as well.

The choice is yours.

Unusual. Was your "garden" landscaped by Capability Brown ? Live close to a nice park?

Is it grafted? - Americana is planted in parks and usually grafted onto common ash. Only other I can think of is Fraxinus latifolia

"untrendy end of Gloucestershire"..you are welcome to pop along to my estate in the city of thieves mate. Sadly I can't add "country" before estate, but definitely untrendy. Hopefully see you at yours.

Flying from Amsterdam for Bristol game this weekend
at 07:25 14 Mar 2018

Possibly. Bristol is a good day/night out though. Don’t let the football ruin a good day out at the football. Seem to be telling myself that a lot. A load of us SW based fans are meeting at the Kings Brew House from 12. May bring the dominoes/darts and sit in the pub all afternoon for more excitement.

Hotels in Bristol/Gloucesters/Cheltenham
at 23:59 10 Oct 2017

There is a travel lodge in Gloucester and they are throwing up a new premier inn down by Gloucester Quays which should be open by festival time. Also see the station hotel, new county hotel and the imaginatively named central hotel Gloucester. I suspect all will be booked/stupidly expensive. Every crappy pub within 30 miles seems to rent out rooms during the week. If you are on a budget Bristol may be the best option, trains will be jammed full of "refreshed" race goers, there is a shuttle service from the station to the course but expect to queue everywhere. Avoid the best mate enclosure AKA the cabbage patch, good view but full of pissed, fighting scoucers...and take your coat..the wind can be rather bracing.

Excellent news

Managed to turn my boy away from manure to Town when he was little, living miles from Ipswich we go away mostly, down the years we've seen more losses than draws. We haven't seen us win since end 2015. He still loves going, we catch the train together, travel all over the country, breakie and meal out, have a few beers, sing our hearts out, and despite the football have a great day at the football. Wouldn't swap that for anything.
