Skuse: Frustrated But Not Downcast
at 13:05:24

I don't want to criticise PL as he does a fantastic job this season, but how can he not see that 1 up top doesnt work, it didnt last year and it hasnt the two times weve played it this year. Even with players not at their best yesterday, 4-4-2 probably would have won us the game, with Keane up top with Jackson. Huws should have started instead of Dozzell, who doesnt look up for it at the moment. And I really rate Edwards, but he isnt a RB, so Donacien should have played. AJ needs a goal to kick start his career again. Once he gets one, he will follow up with 2, 3 and 4 quite quickly

100% agree with Algarvefan. It's a crappy competition, but winning is winning. We are not going to win the FA cup or the league cup but we do have a chance of this one

Sears Out For Nine Months as Town Suffer Another ACL Injury
at 13:35:11

I'm not going to say that this reduces any chance we had of getting out of the crater we are in, as they were already zero, but i think this all but ends any chance of not finishing with the worst points total ever. Gutted for Freddie as many have said he was one shining light this season... I dont know where next years promotion push can come from. We look utterly hopeless and I can see us being the new Leyton Orient or Coventry City

As we will lose anyway i would rather have had a Man City or Chelsea to be honest. Less humiliating

Spence: More Positives Than Negatives
at 13:13:17

It was a shot that we would have expected Bart to make in the past, but his form has been inconsistent this season. Gerken is the same though, and if we are being honest the GK position is not where we are lacking this season. The improvement over the last 2 games has been surprising, i didnt expect quite as big a gap from the Millwall game. However, and I will get behind the team and want us to survive, but I cant see it. We've managed draws against 2 of the worst teams in the division. There isn't enough games to overturn the gap because we will lose far more than we will win, it is just where the squad is at. However PL is the right man to instill confidence and rebuild int he right way next year to hopefully bring us straight back up!

Millwall 3-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:54:00

Paul lamberts eyes look so sad in that image, he must be regretting his choice!! I can make three statements from today.

1. This is the worst professional team I've ever watch. 3 shots in 3 games I think that is now. I'm ashamed to be a town fan right now, and won't be buying any more tickets this season. I have far more entertaining things to spend my money on.

2. Please let's not get on Lamberts back. Pep guardiaola wouldn't keep this team up. He is inheriting a huge turd of a squad and you can't polish a turd

3. Next season is the most important in our history. We have to clean out and start again and compete in league one to rebuild. Otherwise Accrington Stanley won't be the worst ground we are visiting in a few years. The likes of Dozzell and Downes will have their careers ruined if they stay with our club unless it drastically changes. They will need to leave to progress and hat is a shame.

4. Sorry I know I said 3. Kayden Jackson is the fastest player I've ever seen to never beat a defender for pace, he also has the same affect as a bouncy castle if you throw the ball at it, it bounces 20 yards in the other direction.

Season over. The end

Town Sack Hurst as Lambert Set to Take Over
at 17:20:49

I feel sorry for Hurst, i was willing him to do well and was excited when he came in, but it has to be the right decision, he just isn't sure how to get us out of this rut. Most top managers have been through sackings though so I am sure we will be regretting it one day... as for Lambert, on paper he hasn;t done as bad a job as people are saying. It isn;t the most exciting choice and I feel it will be similar to MM, but right now if he gets us to 21st at the end of the season, I will be relieved and say hes done a good job with the squad he has inherited

Nsiala: It's Just Not Going Our Way But It's Going to Turn Around
at 13:29:05

I can;t see where a win is going to come from, and with the inexperience we have we might scrape a win but then be on a high and get ruined by another average championship team the next game. I would personally give Hurst 1 more month and if he hasnt turned it round we need to go and get an experienced manager.

I was positive about Hurst but it is always a risk and one which hasn't paid off. Yes we wanted more exciting football, but isnt a big enough gap from last season to say the change has been warranted. A couple of boring wins might just do the trick again.

The flip side is lets be encouraged by a season in league 1 next year where with a couple of experienced heads we should be good enough to come back up.

I suppose if I was stretching for a positive amongst the many negatives, I would have taken being a place above Preston at the start of the season, a team many predicted as solid play-off candidates

Hurst: Lads Showed a Lot of Character
at 09:20:11

I watched this on Sky last night, and I have to admit, I almost didn't want watch the 2nd half. Whether rebuild means survive this year and push on or drop down a division and push one, we wont be competing in league 1 with that first half team. It was utterly woeful, possibly the worst 45 mins of football I have ever seen from town, and I think we were lucky to still be in the game at half time.

However the second half was an improvement, it still wasn't as great as some people are alluding to, but its good to see the manager recognising how awful we were and changing it.

My biggest issue is we are easy to score against and easy to defend against. I like Jackson's work ethic and the goal will do him good, but is he really going to get more than 6 or 7 goals this season? Harrison wouldnt fit into a national league team to be honest, he's a total waste of transfer budget. Spence is getting a lot of stick, he was poor last night, but I think he is generally a better player. The only players who showed championship quality last night were Skuse and Pennington. We have to start with Edwards every game and Nolan, although he usually takes 45 to get going.

The problem is we cannot score enough goals and we dont look anywhere near keeping a clean sheet, doesnt make for a winning formula no matter how long we give it

Woolfenden to Join Swindon on Loan
at 18:23:57

We will be playing Ellis Harrison as a make shift centre half at this rate. I have been supportive of PH and what he is trying to achieve so far but we cannot simply send out decent young players in a a position we have no cover for.

Walters at Town to Complete Move
at 14:45:07

I am pleased we have got an experienced striker, but whether it'll be the same as before, we will have to wait and see. Whose going to follow McCauley in, Butcher, Wark - I think we need to leave retired ex players alone

Town Targeting Walters Loan Return
at 15:55:08

This is great news. He won;t be able to play 90 mins twice a week, but his presence will make a difference and it will spur on the three we have for competition. I would still like to Sears start, alongside Walters, with Jackson or Harriosn to come on when the oppo defence is tiring!

I thought we could only make 2 loan signings until Donacien visa confirmed? Unless I have missed that. Tilt is great but it means graham prevents us from getting a much needed striker, unless Hurst is planning on using him as one

Hurst: We Showed Them Too Much Respect at Times
at 13:49:04

In my view we looked pretty solid defensively last night, and that has made a nice change from the sloppy goals we have been conceding so far... can't do much about a big deflection and to be honest the freekick was poor refereeing, unless Nsiala has vanishing skills we don't know about, I am not sure where he was supposed to go.

Problem for me is up front, not sure where the goals are going to come from. I felt sorry for Harrison up there on his own, but whilst neither have looked that good on their own, Jackson looks like a better option if we are going to play with 1 up, although I agree with most on here that it should be two! I am disappointed Sears isn't getting a look in, for me he has always looked like scoring when played in his position through the middle.

In for a long season.

My biggest positive so far is Edwards, he could turn out to be one of our best signings in a long time
