He will be devastated!! All of us will be much more devastated. To say that if they could put their finger on what was wrong they could have put it right is bizarre, cos we all know. They give away too many cheap goals and have no idea how to put the ball into the net.
Our 2 most experienced players are too slow and a lot of the rest aren't even good enough for Division 1. |

I'm disappointed at people's dislike of Lambert having worked for THEM and agree with monty radio. Our problem has been Hurst's naivety or arrogance in assuming that he could mould a dozen purchases from the first and second divisions into a team to compete successfully at this level. Boro started their game with 7 premier league players and it was no contest.
I travelled to Swansea and had they taken even a third of their chances we would still be searching for our first win.
I'm so old that I first watched Town in the days of Alf Ramsey and feel that EVERY new manager, whatever their previous career path, has to be given every encouragement and one has to accept that he has to try to mould too many players who don't look capable at this level. |
