Clegg: Keane Was Showing the Strain
at 10:46:00

Meekreech - sorry you've got it very wrong on Curbs.
It's true he managed Charlton jointly with Steve Gritt but it was only after Gritt left he REALLY flourished.
"When Lennie Lawrence left in July 1991, Curbishley became joint manager of the club with Steve Gritt. He took sole command from June 1995 and masterminded the revival of the club's fortunes with two promotions and consolidation into the Premier League.
He celebrated his 600th game in charge of the team with a 1-0 victory at one of his old clubs, Birmingham, in September 2005.Darren Bent scored the goal.
Overall, he managed 729 games for the Addicks, just one fewer than the record held by Jimmy Seed."

It took him (and Gritt) 7 years to get Charlton into the Premiership - somehow I fear he wouldn't be given 7 months at a Club today - Town included!

Balkestein Joins Brentford

It's probably the right decision as he does need games but I personally can't think of too many players (or any players, come to think of it) who have gone out on loan to lesser clubs and come back revitalised and to the standard required to play First Team football. Perhaps some of you could kindly remind me of a few such loanees?
I don't know enough about defending (though I'm learning) to pass a real judgement but I quite like the lad although I have seen him get in a muddle on occasion when strikers and runners force him on to his right foot.
No better or worse than existing for me but Keano's the Manager and he makes the decisions - end of story.
Hope Pim comes back a better player as the Club have invested time, money and manpower on him.........

Romeo Zondervan.
The words of a sensible man.
I'm stopping using the forum on here until Town get a win.
Hopefully it won't be a long sabbatical - at least it'll give the moaners a break!

Dale - are you Steve McClaren in disguise?
In reality, I would expect this just to be another tabloid cock-and-bull rumour.
If true, this will be the last season I have a season ticket at ITFC for the foreseeable.
