McCarthy: We've Got to Stick Together Or It'll Really Go Pear-Shaped

Typical Mick - instead of apologising to the fans, he blames them!! Please just go!!

Huddersfield Town 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:52:10

I have been an Ipswich fan for over 30 years (season ticket holder for almost 20 years). I have always been passionate about my team - but right now, am finding myself increasingly disillusioned and frustrated with the way things are going on and off the pitch- it's getting to the point where I am almost struggling to care! And not just about Ipswich, but football in general!
Never thought I'd feel that way as football (along with music) is my great passion in life!! Keep hoping Marcus Evans will do the decent thing, but now realising that if he was intending to do that, he would've already done it!! Dark days indeed!!

Ipswich Town 0-2 Fulham - Match Report
at 19:45:30

Mick's body language today suggested that he realises his time is up! I have supported this club for over 30 years (almost 20 as a season ticket holder) - but giving up Boxing Day with my family to watch this rubbish has made me so angry! If he isn't gone by Friday, I have no desire to go to the Bristol City match! Takes a lot for me to say that!

Surely Mick's days must be numbered. He appears to have already lost the dressing room ... and now seems intent on losing the supporters too with his dubious selections and tactics!! Something is seriously wrong this season - it no longer looks like a temporary blip!!

O'Neill Watches Blues

Feel sorry for him ... but probably would've been more entertaining (for us at least) if Keane had come along to this one ... him and Chopra to boo (on a day where there was little on offer to cheer).

McGoldrick Out for 10 Weeks
at 16:58:51

Oh how I wish MM was a "glass half full" man ... he'd already have a backup plan in place for this kind of eventuality, and we would trust him to know what to do.

It's horrible timing (not that there's a good time for something like this), and we can only hope that if it's a pride thing with him and Taylor, that he will do the right thing and swallow it to help the team progress!!

An Optimistic Approach (For Real This Time)
at 13:54:00

I enjoyed reading your blog. I have been supporting Ipswich for around 30 years, since i was a little girl, and share your optimism for this season. However, I'm predicting we will finish 3rd and ultimately miss out in the play-offs (ironically to Reading)!!

Emmanuel-Thomas: Time for New Adventure
at 15:16:01

I have faith in Mick, and believe that if he felt JET still had something to offer us, he would've kept him. He has the ability to be brilliant, but sometimes has seemed disinterested. Wish him luck in the future, but I don't think he was ever gonna be a first team regular for us.

Jewell: We Never Recovered From First Leicester Goal
at 22:58:09

Bluelady ... it appeared on facebook just before i left for the game this afternoon. I'm not sure if it was this site or the itfc official page but definitely stated that the deal was done and dusted ... and that he was to join them in the summer. Weirdly, now it has gone! Even my comment has disappeared!! Not bothered either way, but as it was posted as an official announcement, it seems a bit odd!!

I am well aware of where we are and what our expectations are ... i've supported this club for over 20 years ... and been a season ticket holder for almost 15. I have seen the good, bad and ugly ... but i started with the good! And i believe that makes a difference.

But my point is that the football we are currently observing is not gonna be enough to encourage youngsters to follow the club. I dont' live in in Ipswich and have never done so, and find it hard to find positives to keep her interested. She's seven years old, and whereas i had the pleasure of being introduced to a team doing fairly well despite having lost most of their good players and highly successful manager (Robson) in the early-mid 80s, i don't have the words to keep her interested. And watching football these days is far from cheap!! I so wanted her to share my enthusisam, but she doesn't ... and i for one (after displays like this one), can understand why!!

Jewell: We Never Recovered From First Leicester Goal
at 21:20:07

If Leadbitter has already signed for Boro, as stated on here earlier, why on earth did he start today? And yet he was one of our best players?!That sums up more than anything how many problems we have ... the players who will definitely be here next season did not show the desire / commitment / passion needed ... a lot of work to be done in the close season ... again!!! Leicester weren't even that good!

I took my daugher today ... this is her third game ...she previously saw us beat Bristol City 6-0 a few seasons back, then a draw against Middlesbrough (of all teams) couple of games ago, and now she has the loss to complete the set. i just hope i can convince her to come again ... coz she is potentially one of the supporters of the future!!
