| News Comment | McKenna: In Time We'll Be a Better Team and a Better Club at 23:53:30
The general consensus from everyone, in and out of the inner sanctum of the club, is certainly to be promoted. But not just to be promoted, to be able to compete in the Championship also. That is why the people at the club currently are the right people IMO. They understand the right people at the club will ensure this club prospers for many seasons to come, not just this one. As for the reality of losses, albeit we wish for none. 26 wins, 12 draws, 8 losses will give you 90 points. Yes, 8 losses. That is a reality and a target that would see automatic promotion in most seasons. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-1 Colchester United - Highlights at 00:16:10
Mistakes are mistakes. Many are made in every game. Unfortunately, our mistakes were well and truly punished in this game. As long as we have learnt from them and can stop making them this game will be forgotten in time. |
| Blog Comment | McKenna's Marvellous Hybrid Formation at 01:04:34
I rather think this is just the start of it. The addition of Dominic Ball an example that allows one of the defenders to push forward and Ball replace them. I lost count of the number of times teams defended very deep and wide against us leaving gaps for central defenders to wander into. Good post though. |

cressi, was anyone not absolutely awful at Rotherham? I agree with Fat Boy Tim. No brainer if the sums add up. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Just Want to Try to Win Every Game at 03:53:30
Yes we want to win these games but with our players please. Pointless playing Bonne, Bakinson, Celina and Thompson unless the plan is they will be staying beyond this season. Aluko, Carroll, Norwood also given their contracts expire this season. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Definitely Not Our Best Performance at 23:45:02
What's done is done, take the points, learn from the game and move on. I would 100% be putting Simpson in the squad over Piggott and Norwood on Tuesday on that performance. Touch and passing were not up to standard from either. |
| News Comment | Tractor Girls Win Again to Go Top at 22:37:01
Perhaps show our less mentally tough other senior team this game. Oppo played a physical scrappy game but these young players maintained their mental strength and stuck to their game. Great result! |
| News Comment | Cook: Disappointing, We'd Managed Their Threat at 01:14:32
Cook may not want to criticise players but I will. Lee Evans needs to lift his game. Been involved in both early goals we gave away. Woolfenden is not up to it. Too slow on the ball and passing over rated. |
| News Comment | Dobra: My Goal is to Play With Town's First Team at 03:51:59
Monkey_Blue, Chambers had is opportunity as a leader of this club and failed where it counts - results. So I have no problem with another leader coming in and moving him on, however he chose to do it. |
| News Comment | Lambert: We Kept Knocking and Got the Rewards at 23:52:49
To the majority of posters on here - blah, blah, blah, blah - you are a bunch of sodding sooks. Make me sick with your negative dross. Cannot believe you can be such pessimistic (gee I want to swear here). Please just stop, stop and support. Just STOP!!! |
| News Comment | EFL Confirm Switch to Five Subs at 22:26:50
What is past is past, woulda, coulda, shoulda does not change it. What I think we might see is Manager's making changes at half time more often now, especially when behind. Remember they only have 3 opportunities to make a sub outside of half time so making one at half time gives them more flexibility. The 3 opportunities stops Manager's making 5 individual subs in the last 10 minutes of matches and wasting more time than they can we current rules. |
| News Comment | Lambert: The Football We Played Was Incredible at 04:50:48
I go back to the, I think Tottenham game, in pre-season. Dobra stood out as the main player that struggled at that level. No doubt he has benefited from those experiences and improved but he is a bit off week to week 1st team level, even as a sub. Send him out on loan and we will see a much better player next season. |
| News Comment | Lambert: We Were a Bit Below But Showed Great Resilience at 02:01:17
Not sure how many actually watched the game as my perspective varies from most. Yes they had more of the ball, as we predicted mind you, but we always looked in control in the first half, always looked like we could score a goal on the break. The start of the second half was terrible as we failed to keep control of the ball when we did get it to create those chances. PL identified that and was making the changes, although I would have switched Edwards rather than Sears. Unfortunately they scored just as those changes were being readied. I thought the changes then provided us the impetus we needed and we actually looked back in control. Flynn's tackle was not hot headed, it was a necessary one you expect of any midfielder in that position. Luck however was not in his favour as it looked a nasty injury (hoping it's only a medial and not acl). The we defended, albeit with a couple of nervy Holy moments, superbly. They were reduced to firing in crosses wide and way up the field which any decent team should defend and we did. Personally, I think if there were no injuries we win. |
