The signing of Frank Clarke and Jimmy Robertson was vital in assuring the preservation of our top flight status that year. Frank gave us a real goal threat and got on the end of `jimmy Robertson’s crosses. A really clever signing by Bobby Robson. RIP Frank. |

Interesting thread about my favourite itfc player. Superb player in an era where there were so many skilful players. I think we all have a special place in our hearts for our first ipswich team and for me it was the team of 67/68 that won the old div 2 title that season. Obviously the great side of 81 eclipsed them but CV was a standout player in the team for several seasons. |

It won’t work because they separate uk based accounts from those living abroad. It is really annoying but you could set up another account using your holiday address but that means paying for another account. |

He’s reasonable going forward but is awful defending. He has had plenty of chances to improve but his defending continues to be error ridden and his propensity to give away silly free kick after silly free kick in dangerous positions is a liability. Oh, and he runs like a pregnant duck. |

I was also there that night and I will always remember it. It was nowhere near the whole stadium chanting it, it was a small minority, only in the North Stand, and Iwas old enough to be embarrassed and annoyed by it at the time. I was 15 and it was the first time I really realised that some people are truly, deeply stupid. |
