at 19:45:59

Give MM a month and he'll be gone. He hasn't addressed the Full back issue and is again playing Skuse and Douglas together which has never worked. Thankfully im not going. Good luck tonight hope you surprise us

McCarthy: Feeney to Join Town
at 10:25:16

Much needed addition after last nights dire performance. We had no width at all. We desperately need a left back as well please Mick. AMN is a footballer whose confidence must now be rock bottom having joined a club where the ball is constantly hoofed over his head. Next he's told to play right back. Now frozen out completely.Arrived as a very promising talented footballer leaving as a confused young man devoid of confidence.

McCarthy: Great to Have Murph and Skusey Back
at 15:10:31

I would like to see Murph on the bench as we play much better football when he's not in the team due to there being no long ball option. Sears up top through the middle and either Reg or Pitman alongside him. Please no Douglas Skuse combination as we know this doesn't work. 3 points a must after the Bolton debacle

Town 2-1 Reading - Match Report
at 18:27:00

Fantastic win against a very poor Reading side who played like it was a friendly. Portman Rd was nearly empty with about 12000 maximum. Dour game hence quiet crowd. For me Knudsen was taking to the cleaners so many times in the first half and then went for a header in the second half colliding with Berra allowing the opposition a clear run at goal. Kenlock must be given a chance. Murphy who was fantastic last season still looks well off the pace. Agree he can bring others in with his hold up play but he couldn't control the ball. Varney or Pitman deserve a chance. Everything good was through Sears and Fraser and what a fantastic winner where we played it on the ground. Pitmans movement was superb

McCarthy to Talk to Thomas But Quiet Deadline Day at Town
at 17:24:31

Having watched the pre season friendly away to Colchester Utd I totally agree with previous posts regarding Moncur. This lad would add some creative quality to our midfield. He even showed well against Spuds.

Town's Style Didn't Suit Oar
at 17:11:44

I applaud OAR for his honesty it must be so frustrating to see all the academy teams getting the ball down and playing football . First team play a different let say more direct style. For me AMN FRASER and SEARS would all be far more effective if the ball was on the deck and not lumped from the keeper left to right for MURPHY. Why not build from the back or are the full backs not comfortable on the ball. We have some good players in the squad who thrive when we pass and move.

Brighton 0-1 Town - Match Report
at 22:03:37

I moaned about MM talking up the opposition but for me Brighton are the only team to visit Portman Road this season and destroy Ipswich. To me they are the best I've seen in the Championship so this result is a fantastic result. What an achievement 5 away wins on the spin. Hats off MM I might not like your brand of football but you've spent very little and we are a force to be reckoned with. happy days now let's start dominating home games

Chambo: Best Feeling in the World
at 12:21:48

Talking of Round Pegs in Square Holes. AMN is an attacking midfielder who can play on the wing. He is essentially a centre midfielder so why not put him in the middle, in place of either Douglas or Skuse and that would allow Fraser to play on the right hopefully in an advanced position and not like AMN deep protecting the fullback. Sears should swop with Murphy as we know Murph can be effective wide. We are craving creativity in midfield and it appears Bishop is unlikely to return anytime soon ... Worth a try MM

Town 2-1 QPR - Match Report
at 17:46:42

Dreadful match for the spectator with two yes two very poor sides on display. We have however grabbed three valuable points which is really all that matters. I for one found it frustrating to watch but the points is what they play for. For me two of our poorest players scored the two goals. Start the new year with a win. COYB

McCarthy: QPR Can Still Push for the Play-Offs
at 15:16:10

Bohslegend whether journalist's ask an open question about the opposition matters not. It's surely how you answer the question. QPR have a good strong squad but we can be everyone in this league especially at home. You are clearly a very intelligent man !!!

McCarthy: QPR Can Still Push for the Play-Offs
at 09:45:32

Bigging up every am we play. MM has to stop this negative approach it must affect the players. It doesn't seem to matter who the opposition are he always talks them up. Why doesn't MM take the Arsene Wenger approach and let the opposition worry about us. We are the home side and must win this game if we want to compete at the top. Disagree with MM regarding Derby. I felt they were there for the taking but we were too negative. Happy Christmas 3 points boxing day please

Town 0-1 Derby County - Match Report
at 18:14:43

For me Derby weren't that much better than us however we had no quality in the middle of the park. Skuse did well but not forward thinking. Sears was excellent but was the only striker to turn up today with Murph and Pitman both poor. For me MM seems to approach home games talking up the opposition and appears to setup the team to get a point. I feel with Bru in the centre we could have taken the game to Derby and won. Why bring Bru on wide left ? Great to see Frase and Varney back and both showed well. We need a left back for sure. Knudsen had a couple of decent games when he arrived but is well out of his depth and must be rested. Ref was just as bad as last time...incompetent buffoon. So Mick please be more positive at home as we can beat these teams. Still in top 6 so can't knock that. Happy Christmas

Charlton 0-3 Town - Match Report
at 18:38:01

Great result solid performance. Many good performances today including much critisised Gerken who pulled off 3 great saves. Hats off he had a good game. Both full backs continue to worry me Knudsen who arrived at the start of the season and looked a bright acquisition now looks under pressure with many poor decisions and passes. Berra and Smith very solid today and Douglas and AMN were continually tracking back and winning back possession. All three strikers were excellent. Third goal was real quality. COYB. Thought the Charlton sub at right back looked a proper player well worth tapping up

Rotherham 2-5 Town - Match Report
at 17:33:37

This was another must win game and the team has responded with an emphatic win. This must be the first occasion that we have scored 5 goals under MM. What makes it sweeter is that Murph is now up and running with a hat trick. Yes I have criticised the team and the manager over the past few weeks as they performances have been dire. Lets get some momentum now and move on up. Poor league so any team can be beaten. COYB. KEEP IT ON THE GROUND...

Town 2-0 Bolton Wanderers - Match Report
at 19:01:46

First and foremost 3 points was a must and the team delivered albeit against poor opposition. For me the performance was much better in patches similar to Saturday in that respect. When our footballers were in possession we looked good however there aren't enough of them therefore ball retention is again a huge problem. Pat on the back for Gerken with two clean sheets must keep this up. MM has been very patient with him. Knudsen for me is not good enough needless fouls in dangerous areas and woeful distribution. Chambers ditto really. Both centre backs had solid games and Berra certainly looked sharper. Bru is a footballer who wants the ball on the deck and will pass and move the same goes for Sears AMN and Pitman. The team can be successful is they play football but launching to Murph is so predictable that teams have us sussed. Positives for me were AMN first goal well taken, Sears lively and a real threat, Pitman although he has an unusual style is a proper goal scorer who is goal in the air and who finished superbly. Murph had a much better gamer but doesn't look a threat in front of goal but is a different option as required. McG is another footballer who again showed his class in the two minutes he was given . The foundation is now in place to build on from this excellent result starting with 3 points on Saturday against another poor team.

McCarthy: We Must Turn Improved Performances into Wins
at 16:41:45

I think MM will play with four strikers and drop AMN even after he played well on Saturday. I hope I'm wrong and that he picks a balanced team with Pitman ahead of Murphy and two wingers in AMN and Oar. Parr should keep the shirt as he's marginally better than Knudsen who is yet to settle into Championship football. Nothing short of a win will be good enough. They are a poor side who should be beaten if we're to have any chance of a top six finish. MM be positive in team selection please and no daft substitutions if we go ahead.

Knudsen and Tabb Back in Squad
at 19:50:41

Tabb has to be bench at best as he is not the future. Yes he's served us well but last season showed his legs have now gone. Knudsen after a promising first couple of games has been found wanting and is not yet ready to play at this level. Parr deserves his place if only for his goal against Forest. He still looks dodgy and his distribution Saturday was woeful. All those who said we wouldn't miss Mings are clearly wrong. Go for Kenlock and lets give youth a chance they can't do any worse.
Three points a must tomorrow. Please drop Murph and play Freddie through the middle and Oar and Niles on the flanks. Pitman to make an impact from the bench as he did on Saturday.
