A 'supposed' fan who has been going since 1967/68.

Leeds took 3 points from their last 4 games. Would you have bet on that? We had more bottle.

I don' want him to go, but I just can't see why people are so surprised, and are then saying that he has lost our trust etc etc.
It seems to me that here is nothing unreasonable going on.

This is only a suggestion for debate, not a statement.

You have just achieved a miracle by getting a team of good League One players promoted to the Premiership. You know that you also got a bit lucky when Leeds, as usual, completely bottled it.
You are going to have to go through a major restructure of the squad, only two or three of whom stand much chance of becoming Premiership quality.
You have a CEO who has no experience of that role in the Premiership.
You are looking at a really tough season.
You feel that you have earned the right to at least talk to top half Premiership clubs who are not relegation candidates.

Geo Watkins Mushroom Ketchup. Obviously different, being made from mushrooms, but definitely in the same ball game as Lea and Perrins.

Copenhagen - Any recommendations
at 11:01 24 May 2024

I lived there for a couple of years, a great city.
The yellow water buses would be an easy way to take a tour around the harbour, and better for the youngster than the commercial tours. There is a stop at the bottom of Nyhavn, which is another must visit, touristy though it is.
Tivoli is a cliche, but it is great, and the restaurant Groften, within Tivoli, is proper Danish home cooking, very well done for a busy venue, and family friendly.
Imho, it is well worth avoiding Christiania, which has become a scuzzy, sleazy tourist venue, as of 2022, anyway.
The spiral tower at Our Saviours probably isn't great for a 18mo baby, but the view from the top is worth the effort for adults. The opera house is great, the Little Mermaid is probably the most disappointing major tourist attraction on earth.

Potentially tricky meeting Manchester, but maybe next time, which could well be on the way home!

I am stuck on a train at Stoke-on-Trent station.

Stoke is the worst dump of all big English towns/cities - discuss

Posh revenue incoming for Taylor. Can the midfielder step up to the Premiership?
at 22:31 19 May 2024

He is a good player, and may prove to be a useful asset in the Premiership.

He didn't fit that well in the KMcK Championship model, but I think that we may see more of him next season?

Who's with Wes on this?
at 12:12 19 May 2024

Maybe true, but Cameron's stupidity is what ended up empowering sh1tbags like Johnson, Farage, Rees-Mogg, Braverman, Truss, and the biggest t0sser of the lot, Frost.

Moving on to tonight
at 12:18 17 May 2024

Southampton
- decent ground, one of the best 'replacement' grounds, fans OK, easyish trip.
WBA
- Proper ground, good fans, easyish trip
Leeds
- Sh1te ground, arguably the most unpleasant fans in England, longer but easy trip

I think that WBA would be the best result for us, Soton not a disaster. Really it is all about who is most likely to beat Leeds.

Doubt it. Lopetegui is a good manager.

Glad now we didn't get Sam Gallagher

Agreed.
He clearly isn't good enough to be a Premier League regular, and although he has improved with age, he will be 32 by the start of next season.

Both goalkeepers, Tuanzebe if he fully fit. Maybe Davis, Morsy, for a season, Hirst.

Times were very different, but GBs squad had players with decent previous Premiership experience, Croft, Mowbray, Venus, Magilton, and also included several players who went on to have a good few years in the Premiership with other clubs. Wright (sort of) Bramble, Clapham, Scowcroft, Stewart.

And KM, good man though he seems to be, is just not a Premiership player.

Would Leicester have been better off sttling for a points deduction this year?
at 13:04 5 May 2024

I suspect that we could do with them getting a big points deduction next year.

Although the really huge points deduction should be handed to ManC, who are about to cheat their way to another title. (And yes, they are the best side, but how do they fund it within the rules)

So.. who do we want up in play offs

The main thing is to see Leeds beaten. If that is by Norwich, so be it.
