More than ever In a season where they've introduced "grounds they've played at" to their list of achievements to try to lord it over us about, thereby expanding their honour roll to include "attendees" as well as "participants", they really should shut the f**k up. |

Speaking of Leeds, absolute garbage reporting from BBC once again... "FT: Hull City 3-3 Ipswich Late-season jitters? Ipswich might be four points from promotion but that's now four games without a win. Hope for Leeds?" [Post edited 27 Apr 22:17]

Coincidentally, 17 is also the number of pieces a divisive pop star making a showboating cameo would be kicked into by an embittered probably-already-relegated side. |

Depends how it's framed, there might've been a couple more, but there've also been goals such as Chappers vs. Birmingham and Al-Hamadi vs. Bristol City in which they've deliberately diverted someone else's shot in but we've still been accused of fluking it. Morsy vs. Leicester (possibly counts as two!) Chappers vs. Middlesbrough Chappers vs. Plymouth... any others? [Post edited 24 Apr 14:22]

| Forum Reply | This feels like the least convincing “it’s in our hands” feeling ever at 15:37 14 Apr 2024
Weird old vibe today isn't it? We did miss out on a bit of an opening to make the whole thing less nerve-wracking but we're a step closer than we were on Friday, yet the general mood now seems to expect Leeds and Leicester to resume their blockbusting form but somehow rule out any possibility that the likes of Chaplin, Broadhead or Moore revert to being matchwinners. |
| Forum Reply | Such a strange feeling at 12:01 14 Apr 2024
I have to keep looking back at the last couple of days' results to make sure I read them correctly, because there's a lot of really strange takes going on on here. We just unexpectedly drew with two fairly decent sides. Leeds and Leicester just unexpectedly lost to sides in the bottom third, Leicester twice. Yet there seems to be this weird implication that that didn't matter in either case, because they're both suddenly going to start winning again (in the harder games they've now got coming up, including Southampton), but we're not so we've blown it? Our rivals are stuttering, more so than we are. Our situation is even better than it was 48 hours ago. It's still in our hands. Get a collective grip. |
| Forum Reply | Southampton could quite conceivably be ahead of us at 17:54 13 Apr 2024
Because it's not correct, all we needed to do was match Leeds' results, and over the last three we've bettered them by a point. Leeds and Leicester's losses have been to far worse teams than we drew with, and they've both got Southampton to tangle with. Huge effort maybe, but it's still in our hands, so I'm not sure how it's "hurt us". |

We need Chaplin, they've left him in space a couple of times in the way we need them to...a shank from Davis' cross, and Jackson not being up to the job of finding him haven't helped. |
