Championship Trio Linked With Simpson
at 11:00:54

Can see the link with Hull, Simpson's agents have a large Turkish contingent and Hull have been taken over I believe by a Turkish owner.

Blues Linked With Former Trialist Striker
at 15:28:29

To add to the Wealdstone Connection (there are an elite few of us), agree with Dan above, Dennon is a decent player capable of playing League 2 probably but in essence we need to be looking at players with abilities to compete in the Championship. As a sidenote he played LM/LF for stones, so not solely a forward.

Dyer: Lack of Opportunities for Black Coaches a Massive Problem
at 16:49:02

Society has to evaluate if we operate through meritocracy or quotas, neigh impossible to do both.

Approx 30% of players are BAME at the start of 2017/18 season in the Premier League, this is due to meritocracy, whilst the number of black managers presently in the football league is approximately only 6% it still outweighs the ethnicity ie Black 3.4% as per 2011 census.

We are severely under represented in the Asian Ethnicity in both playing and managing and to a lesser degree but still evident is also White British elements of our society.

If we operate on meritocracy then there should be more black coaches but what do we do with wider society as this is where minorities are under represented and acts contrary to football and is extremely high profile at this juncture.

Please remember the majority of the most deprived parts of the UK are predominantly White British areas with around 25% of the most deprived areas with a high Asian populus.

Kieron comes across as an articulate individual and I wish him well, sorry not a manager of Town until he gets more experience (recognise the catch 22 nature of this position).

Chris Hughton for me is the stand out black manager who should be gainfully employed presently, his CV is excellent and in my opinion was harshly treated in his last job.

Blues Lining Up Millwall Striker Elliott as Bialkowski Move Could Be Revived
at 07:17:44

Sorry, refer to any Millwall supporter and Elliott is truly a below par player, understand the need to move Bart on but suggest straight cash transaction here.

Town Reported to Have Rebuffed QPR Judge Bid
at 12:29:59

Insult to our intelligence this derisory offer, if I was Evans, would simply refuse to engage with QPR as they are certain to come back with higher offes but, simply based on structure ie building squad around Judge means unless offer of £3-£4 million is on the table then walk away, Judge unlike other sales cannot be based on future commissions, his ability is evident for all to see, presently.

Town and Doncaster Linked With Former Miller Ball
at 14:37:45

Interesting player, technically good, would not be an understatement to say likes a tackle and is very competitive, watched him play various positions, usually def cm but as detailed can play further back, could be a good signing.

Hull Linked With Blues Winger Edwards
at 15:50:46

Assume replacement for Jarrod Bowen, valuations ranging from 12 million to 20 million for Bowen, work on the basis Edwards is equivalent to 25% of this value thus £3-5 million, imagine Peterborough may have had a sell on clause to consider, feel club will cash in as even at £3 million, this represents £2.3 million profit less Peterborough's clause (if there is one).

Town Among Clubs Linked With Livingston Keeper
at 12:09:43

Highly rated keeper, decent as a ball playing keeper, MOM vs Rangers earlier in the season in a 1-0 win and two clean sheets vs Celtic, young, cheap ie release clause and definitely a player we should be interested in as mentioned previously Bart's salary will still be an issue despite the relegation reduction, the downside is that speculated up to 20 clubs viewing Kelly.

In Summary this attack minded wide man has contributed 1 goal in 28 youth appearances in 3 seasons, this season has included 6-0 defeat in solitary Norwich appearance and 7-1 defeats vs Everton and 8-0 vs Derby u18 teams whilst with Newcastle, along with 1 assist and the fact he faded in todays game does not inspire confidence.

McGoldrick: I Was Open to Staying at Town But Hurst Said No
at 11:21:39

Suggest a bit of reading between the lines here, Mcgoldrick informed by Hurst, services no longer required, Hurst previously had stated that Mcgoldrick was not on the balance sheet ie wages, therefore does not take a genius as to speculate where the final decision came from, Hurst was the fall guy to pass this information on. If Mcgoldrick was wanted by the powers that be at the club they had a considerable period of time to renew Mcgoldrick's contract prior to Hurst's arrival.

Hurst was not a success but this was not one decision he should be fallible for, granted plenty of others spring to mind.

Skipper Chambers Linked With Chicago Fire
at 15:48:26

I note with concern the implication of losing Chambers, this time last year it was apparent Mick would be on his way out and unsurprisingly the likes of Waghorn, Garner, Webster, McGoldrick, along with the loanees could not exit Portman Road quick enough, Chambers whether people like it, is the glue that holds the dressing room and the younger professionals together, accept Chambers performances this season have not been of the standard all would have desired but partnered with sub standard defenders this season has not helped, looked well below 100% fitness on Saturday and in a back 3, Luke has to be the central part due to his lack of pace. I fear if Chambers/Skuse depart there would be absolutely no leaders in that squad on the pitch/dressing room.

Blues and Bolton Linked With Rangers Right-Back Hodson
at 16:26:39

Just had a quick look, Jordan Spence and Hodson were at MK Dons in 2015/16 season, both natural positions allegedly RB and during that season Spence played significantly more ofter, Hodson may have been injured but he was loaned out to Kilmarnock in February 2016 leading to the assumption Spence was first choice at RB, not exactly inspirational and Rangers fans rate Hodson as one of their poorest Full backs of recent times.

See Emmanuel is back, maybe back up to Pennington at RB.

Town Targeting Brentford Winger Judge
at 12:29:45

Quote(below) from Brentford fans forum and having seen him twice since his return from injury must concur, effort there but lack of pace/skill, no improvement on what we have presently, at best a short term contract to the Summer to prove himself.

'it's very sad how it's all worked out, but it's best to move on. i think it's fair enough that we gave him a chance to see if he could recapture his old form, but there are no signs of it. no lack of effort (indeed maybe quite the opposite, trying too hard!), but his touch etc isn't the same. he'll walk in the summer, and if he can find a new home before then that'll be great for all concerned i think.

i will remember all the good times, the penalty that got us promoted, the brilliant first season in the Championship (underrated that we started to falter when he got his knee injury just before Christmas), and individually even better second season. his story will live on as a cautionary tale when we think of "let's just hang on to this guy, he doesn't need to chase the pay-rise just yet" - anything can happen.

finally, i know there's a bit of a grumpy irishman rep about him, and fair enough, that's just how some people are - but just read YorkBee's emotional post here to see him in a better light. well done Alan. i hope you do manage to recapture some form and love for the game, even if it almost certainly won't be here

Hurst Tight-Lipped on Future After Play-Off Defeat
at 11:09:06

Continually successful on limited budgets, recognised ability to sign free transfers and loan players, developing youth products, win ratio of 50% in over 500 games, aware of 1st/2nd division players, UEFA A Coaching Licence, simply the best candidate based on our resources.

Yesterday, Shrewsbury were moderate and this reflects on how well Hurst has managed his team this season, one of the favourites to go down. Shrewsbury's best players were loanees(Keeper and Godfrey the Norwich player) along with a decent CB.

Burley/butcher are club legends but that means nothing to the present squad as they are either too young or unaware of the calibre of both the aforementioned, please factor in that Burley/Buthcher are not likely to have been scouting Div 1/2 players, unlike Hurst.

Lastly, Emmanuel does not convince me in any shape, he exhibits the same defensive frailties as Kenlock, ie continually switching off from set pieces, ie Corners/Throws and as per yesterday a Free-Kick, Shrewsbury scored due to Emmanuel failing to be alert.
