| News Comment | Keane Slams Second Half Performance at 17:31:26
I made a forum comment back in Oct 09, after the 0-0 home draw with Watford, that Keane should go....not surprisingly I was slated by the Keano poodles on the forum for that comment then.....well, I hate to say I told you so....we would have been in a much better league position had someone else taken over way back then.... |
| News Comment | Keane Slams Palace Players as Town Appeal Against Red Card at 22:51:27
I wuz there - disappointed with the way Town capitulated after conceding a goal - Stead's challenge was needless, but should have been a yellow at worse. Palace were all over Town in the 2nd half. Our keeper was indecisive, unable to kick properly (50% of his goal kicks went into touch) and doesn't command his penalty area with any confidence at all. Delaney and Mcauley did OK, although some of their clearances were below par (into touch or straight to a Palace player). Wright was reasonable, but made to work hard by Moses, Rosenior disappeared as an attacking force in the 2nd half (not sure whether his defending is as good as his forward play, though), Colback played with a maturity way ahead of his 19 yrs (he would have done better with an experienced player beside him, though), Healy was better than expected, but would not be any great shakes, Edwards was OK before his enforced substitution, Garvan on the wing was generally anonymous. Peters made lots of clever moves with the ball and his passing and seemed to be the only Town player that made Palace get their knickers in a twist, Stead was a constant thorn to the Palace defence before his sending off, Whickham was not as commanding - he can hold the ball up well and distributes it reasonably, but has no pace and is unable to do the unexpected which can win games (a la Gio last season). All in all, well done to Peters and Colback; Keano, not sure about your tactical awareness; we need a new keeper ASAP |

Good signing....hope he continues in the same vein as his performance at Coventry on match day 1...remember his shot struck the post. Could the season have been very different if that had gone in, and we had emerged with a opening day win?! |

Keano's out if Town lose to Blackpool tomorrow - simple as that |

At half time, I was screaming "Keano out!"....at full time, I am nominating him for freeman of the city |
