With your insider knowledge of the manned space programs, do you know if Ground Control have been able to contact Major Tom yet?
I'm very worried for him because, some of the last communications heard were; "your circuit's dead", "there's something wrong" and "Can you hear me, Major Tom?".
It doesn't sound too good for him, but I'm hoping that he successfully re-entered his tin can and they find him shopping with his beloved wife in our Planet Blue...

So, now we are downgrading her mag and fam to "many" families slightly dotty old grannies and granddads with "old-fashioned"/ "colourful" views...ðŸ˜
Unfortunately, those "lovable"oldies haven't got themselves legal (and secret) exemptions from the Equality Act under Queens Consent (the same process she has used for her financial shenanigans).
Oh well, I guess that future historians will put her under the "flawed, but of her time" label. |

Agree to differ?
I think that she is a highly intelligent, strong willed and politically astute woman.
She has had plenty of opportunity to try to persuade, or drag along those necessary to enact change.
But that has to start from within her.
I think that she has not had the will because she holds "questionable" views regarding people of colour and thus the house of windsor has remained institutionally racist under her governorship. |

But I just think that she has spent her life enriching herself/family and perpetuating the class ridden and non "poc" organisation and society that she was born into.
A lot of very rich people seem to have impressive commitment and stamina when it comes to making themselves more money...

My apologies, but I cannot give my respects to this head of an institutionally racist and parasitic organisation.
It's had decades to change its organisations practices, but has not done so.
Its organisation lacks any sort of transparency with its (non-)employment of poc and its financial dodges (even scrutinising and secretly getting legislation changed to suit itself).
One can only assume from these activities, that the 96 year old head of said organisation holds questionable views and practices that would have it sacked from any other organisation.
Why should I admire this seemingly racist, self serving, god-bothering old biddy? |

Stopping most habitat loss is easy.
Stop eating meat. Stop believing the meat industries mis-information garbage (the same tactics taken from the smoking, lead, oil and other polluting industries handbooks).
Not eating meat also has the added benefit of reducing climate changing gas emissions by about 15-20%.
Modern agrarian non meat production is efficient enough to easily feed everyone on the planet.
There is lots of money around, but much of it goes to subsidising the industries that are polluting the planet and causing human induced climate change, species and habitat loss.
Blame that on the lobbyists, their"sponsored" politicians and quisling scientists.
PS, I'm sure that the martian atmosphere is too weak for earth like storms to form (minus f1 dust devils max strength?). Also, space is a vacuum, "bulk" is almost meaningless. Mars is low gravity too.
PPS, Everthing that we learn from space exploration also has the advantage of going towards the knowledge of how to stop the the next city, or dino killer headed our way. |

Look on the bright side, you now have the time to go through all of those covid denial, anti masking and anti lockdown threads and videos on your FB, Whatsapp, Twitter etc (Katie Hopkins recommended as a lite on facts, heavy on ignorance intro) and be happy that somebody like that was probably responsible for your situation.

Just about the only people left at the club from the Evan's era are Klug, KD and LON.
So, who do you think is to blame for not being too keen on keeping the "highly rated" Gibbs, or would none of them have any input?
It just seems very odd that two totally different regimes have come to the same conclusion, so I can only conclude that the acadamy staff are the ones that have been consistently lukewarm about his potential to the old owner/very financially astute new chairman? |
