Hurst Not Worried About Situation as Campaign Enters Sacking Season
at 14:48:51

There is no alternative to PH and another, long-term strategy. This may include relegation, but so be it. We would emerge from that reborn and renewed, instead of on the endless life-support hoof-ball of the MM era.

Keep the faith and support our team!

Let's face it, who would pass up the chance to play for the team they supported as a boy, especially at the end of their career?

Good luck, Gareth!

Hurst: Players Were Like Warriors
at 19:06:29

Very proud of the team today. Really entertaining match and who knows how we would have got on with 11 v 11?

Thought Edwards was absolute class. Nolan had a good game. Bart a couple of errors but an outstanding late save. Referee, as much as one can tell without replays, had an absolute shocker. No surprise he was accompanied by security leaving the pitch.

The atmosphere was rocking, too.

Our win will come, in Hurst we trust!

St Mirren Offer Ross New Deal
at 17:43:08

I don't want Lampard. True, he'd be a big media draw, and a way to increase sponsorship revenue. But we did that with Keane and with him, the negatives outweighed any positives.

I accept that Lampard is far more refined and intelligent than Keane. But he has no managerial experience whatsoever.

Ross is experienced, hungry for success and could be an inspired and brilliant choice.

Come on, Marcus. Seal the deal!

Gerrard? Terrible idea. Just a ‘big name', less merited than Roy Keane and likely even worse.

Town Name EACH as Shirt Charity

Delighted by this news. I had never heard of EACH before, I have now and they will soon be receiving my money. The work our medical professionals do across the board is amazing and with children, especially so.

Proud day for ITFC.

McCarthy: Fitting Tribute to Sir Bobby
at 19:39:28

Gosh - Town fans here are behaving like a bunch of snowflakes.

Ooh, MM used bad language - disgraceful! Of course, it's fine for thousands of fans to chant 'f*ck off MM', and probably a lot worse, at the stadium and when he's out and about. But woe betide, in jest, after a fantastic performance, he digs back.

Grow a pair, or get back to your darning!

McCarthy Embarrassed By FA Cup Defeat as Webster Faces Lengthy Spell Out
at 00:49:22

I was happy to see Lincoln score and end it, tbh. We were sh1te. If we'd beaten them, it would have been a travesty. Extra time would have been a real hoof-ball-fest, and a penalty shoot-out, the cruelest way to settle it.

Besides, we would be trounced by Brighton, and frankly, if we can't beat a non-league side, we'd be trounced by anyone.

I think it's time for MM to leave with dignity. The club needs a reboot. It also needs an owner who cares enough to be visible, perhaps knows something about football and is able to choose the right person to take us forward.

Town Sign Former Trialist Spence
at 18:39:48

Could well prove to be an astute signing. You don't get to play for England U16, U17, U18, U19 and U21 unless you're an outstanding talent. Seems like he may have lost his way after that early promise, and who's to say he won't find it again with us?

McCarthy: Owner Still Backs Me
at 09:54:26

It's not Mick that needs to go, it's Marcus Evans who needs to properly fund the team.

Mick can't do any more with the hand he's been given. He has not decided to go for loans and freebies, that's all he can get. So, on match day he puts together a squad which is the best of what we have. He makes tactical decisions based on the players' abilities and limitations. He has years of experience and is best qualified to do it.

A new manager is unlikely to be able to do any better, and will likely flounder. The irony is, Roy Keane and Paul Jewell were given the funds and screwed it up. Mick hasn't been given the same chance and it's unfair to attack him this way.

Webster: Boss Encourages Forays Forward
at 17:10:23

I've only seen him play in the highlights, but against Blackburn at least, I did like Webster's charge forward. Reminded me of how Herman Hreidarsson used to bring the ball up from the back, causing mayhem.

It's a great style of play, keeps possession and the ball on the ground - lots more of that, please!

Town Unveil New Kits

I like the away strip - quite traditional for us.

Like the white arms on the home kit, just wish there were no chevrons, and I much prefer a darker blue.
