Not inconceivable. As a Premier League side, yes, A PREMIER LEAGUE SIDE, you will be able to attract bigger friendly fixtures. Would be incredible Ajax away, and then a European semi finalist at home, a gentle reminder of the huge step up in profile being a Premier League side entails. |

All jokes aside, I’d Adam Webster looks such a natural fit to come back here. A terrific player, with PL experience, and PL quality, has at times shown form that have probably put him consideration for England. That ability to step out in possession as Woolfenden does. Has strong links to Ashton and to Conor Chaplin as well (best friends I believe). Downes, Chalobah & Cresswell actually could all be good fits as well to be honest. BUT, for the foreseeable let’s soak up the next month as football fans in this euphoric moment!! |

It’s going to be a huge challenge to take the step up, of course it is, but what an exciting and incredible challenge to make, and one that all deserve and should look forward to. As has been the case for the last 2 years, we are all on this journey as one together, it’s time to enjoy the dance in the Premier League! |

It’s been a hell of week. I welcomed my first baby tractor girl to the world on Wednesday, her first game was Ipswich being promoted to the Premier League. 27 years home and away, up and down the country, up and down the leagues, travelling from young boy with my brother and dad, all following our club that we love, this week has made everything worth it, for the emotions I have experienced this week. I cannot wait to add the next generation of the family to our journeys. I have no shame in saying, I’ve shed a lot of tears today. [Post edited 5 May 0:34]

Was at Crewe Alexandra for 8 years, had a great time around 13/14 was going to move to Everton, but the travelling was unrealistic, released at 16 and turned to studies instead, wished I had gone on as had offers at Bolton & Wigan. Lucky enough to be coached by Steve Holland & Neil Critchley for a long time who have gone on to do really well. Carried on at University firsts which was a good experience, but now just play locally and will probably call it after this season as expecting my first child in a couple of weeks. Second in the Championship with 4 games to play, after being in L1 less than a year ago shows KMc & the players worth/capabilites. Don't get entitled because we've been so good we have jumped 4 steps ahead of our natural progression plan. |

Going for a tight game, still a threatening side Watford, despite league position. Dangerous front line. No Ken Sema who caused us serious problems at their place on the left. |

Morsy wasn't safeguarded when he was on the brink of suspension previously - maybe against Watford in the reverse fixture actually, and we had a run of Leeds, Leicester & Norwich on the horizon. He is too important, can't be saved for remaining fixtures now. |
| Forum Reply | Ipswich to review ticket policy after Norwich game at 10:31 9 Apr 2024
Around 200 tickets changes the complexion a little. Around 50 players, staff and commercial partners receiving 3/4 tickets, which I know is absolute standard, not just for Ipswich, but for most clubs. Of course all the tickets will be snapped for Norwich, and less for Blackburn, Swansea or any other game. Bit of a non-story if truth be told. |

I understand that, I don't know where or if the actual figure is 400, but yes, that would seem like a large allocation. Although I would say, all players, staff & commercial partners would receive an allocation of 2-4 tickets for all away games, naturally they are going to be snapped up for the biggest away day of the season. |

I’ll be honest, I don’t think it’s a huge issue, nothing out of the ordinary. I’ve used comps from friends, both at Ipswich, and for other teams, both for ‘big’ league games, and cup finals etc. It’s standard for the club to allocate comps to players, staff & commercial partners, usually between 2 & 4, and almost certainly all the tickets for Norwich will be taken. |

If an away fixture I'd probably go with Travis. We are a real front foot team at PR, and I think Taylor suits that a bit better. Think he merits the start. |

Saturday was a poor display, we looked flat in every sense of the word, and that can happen from time to time, it simply gets marked down as a bad day at the office and you move on - unfortunately ours came against our rivals - but it doesn't change the fact you learn from it, box it off, and move on. We are still right in the hunt for an automatic place, which in itself is a ridiculous achievement this late in the season. We give everything, and we see where the journey takes us. The gut says play-offs still, I do think we are just shy of Leeds & Leicester, but it won't stop us pushing all the way to the end. Possibly freshen up for Wednesday: Hladky Clarke - Woolfenden - Burgess - Davis Morsy - Taylor Jackson - Chaplin - Broadhead Moore |

Didn’t seem to have an eye to eye relationship with Cook, but there is two sides to every story and I am sure Cook would counter with his own comments about Downes. Downes handed in a transfer request, and tried to force a move first under Lambert, so he wanted to leave before Cooks arrival, they may have played a factor in why Cook didn’t see him in his plans. We’re a different club now, moved on, operate differently, wish him all the very best but personally would never revisit that one in terms of resigning. |

I don’t think his general play his high level, I had this argument with somebody last season when I said this, and said it’s why I think Harry Kane is a better number 9, his general play is far better than Haaland. Having said that, to say he’s rubbish is ridiculous, he’s a predator, a natural goal scorer, who needs to move away from Man City. The style does not gel with his game one bit. |

8% is about right for me. Continued inflationary environment, but other factors to consider as well - continued heavy investment in the clubs infrastructure, continued investment in players & staff, and development of the academy, and naturally more successful/attractive football on the pitch. Very different times from the Evans era, we see the investment being made it the club, and the fans have their part to play of financing as well. Most, if not all fans would say we are getting real bang for your buck right now. [Post edited 28 Mar 12:48]
