How can you possibly be embarrassed by the history and achievements of the club you support, irrespective of whether you are old enough to have witnessed them, or from a later generation that aspires to reclaim former glories. I'm staggered that some on this forum seem to genuinely think that PC should have had the ability to wave a magic wand and make a silk purse from a pigs ear. The stark truth is that we have been in progressive decline for years, and nothing short of a complete overhaul of both playing staff and structure will be sufficient to reverse the trend, and I take some comfort from the fact that the current regime at least have the balls to confront the issue head on and rebuild for the future. |

I don't live locally and don't follow the official ITFC site, but did the club ,either directly or via the local media, post regular updates in respect of the sales progress?
I'm sure if it was apparent that the target was getting so tantalisingly close, it would have encouraged waverers to purchase, as well as providing some added interest to the process.
Possible opportunity lost for both club and supporters? |

The main issue for me is the complete lack of any credible passion for our beloved ITFC from any of the senior club figures. The owner is faceless, his MD appears to be little more than a puppet given to uttering the odd unconvincing platitude, and the manager appears more intent to demonstrate that he is a man of integrity by being seen to honour his contractual obligations, than to make any meaningful attempt to convince the fan base that he is motivated to move heaven and earth to gain success for the club he loves.
While ITFC will remain forever in my blood, the malaise of past few years has created a fundamental disconnect with much of the fan base, and I regret that it certainly doesn't entice me to contemplate either the renewal of my season ticket, or investing considerable time and expense in the 200 mile round trip to attend PR. Sad. |

Forget the numbers, this is a bad move on all counts; and will potentially result in reduced rather than increased revenue. To suggest the price increase is motivated by RPI is as wrong as it is insulting. I had been optimistic that the club was succeeding in reconnecting with its fan base over the last couple of seasons, but this is a clear illustration that we now appear to be heading in totally the wrong direction once again. I despair! |

Well,at least Taylor and Wordsworth now have the opportunity to show what they can do in the Championship, while we (presumably?) retain our options.
On another note! I've just read on a BBC Sport that our good friend Chopra wishes to renounce his British passport and wishes to establish himself as the footballing equivalent of Tendilkar!
