| News Comment | Town Topic: Memories of Royle Appointment at 13:23:09
2-1 against Wigan at home to send us top at Christmas. Leighton Baines scored an absolute scorcher - but Benty scored in the last minutes. PR was shaking! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: We Let Our Guard Down at 14:20:11
Financially, we are a well run club, which has subsequently meant a lack of progress in the transfer market. It was always going to be a risky strategy relying on freebies, and without Murphy's goals and a top form Berra, we look average. You can't blame MM solely for this, it's how it is and everyone has to accept that. Granted, there are some obvious tactical flaws at the moment, but what are the real alternatives. Mick's always got the very best from our squad thus far, and I back him to do the same again. We need a bit of luck, McG to find his best form, a fit Bish, Hyam, and maybe even Varney. A few more options for Mick will do us the world of good - keep the faith. Maybe returning to the 'underdog' is how this group of players performs best? Not that that makes it any easier for the fans. coyb. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Appointment Reportedly Close at 23:20:44
Really hope this happens. We've got a bunch of players that need a major kick up the backside and an experienced head to get into their heads how bad a situation we are in. McCarthy would no doubt demand respect from the players the moment he walks in, and in the long term he has a great record of building good squads and buying well. Also, if the reports of Holland being in the backroom staff are true, we would really benefit from having somebody who knew how to wear the shirt with pride! COYB! |
| News Comment | Wellens: Town Players Don't Care at 11:28:51
I am surprised that Wellens has come out and said this, but i have to say I agree. We looked so gutless on Saturday and we are carrying too many players! Also, the likes of Chopra really aggravate me, he's got far too much to say for himself on twitter, and quite frankly it seems like he's only here to sort out his debts. Bunch of MERCENARIES! |
| News Comment | Hutchings: Jewell Still Town Boss at 23:39:46
I can't quite get my head round this. Tonight was the first time the fans properly voiced their opinions, over what has been another shambolic period for our club. Any self respecting man would of resigned after the game after what they heard at the final whistle! I'm sick of watching the same old dross every week, and hearing the same spineless excuses. GET OUT OF OUR CLUB! |
| News Comment | Keeper Henderson Set to Become Eighth Loan at 14:26:55
All of these 'panic' loan signings are becoming horribly reminiscent of teams that have gone down in previous years. SOMEBODY please save our club before it's too late! |
| News Comment | Jewell: Loanee Situation Not Ideal at 19:36:34
I like Jewell as a person, and seems like a decent bloke. But what I can't stand is him coming out time after time talking the same old drivel. Stop insulting our intelligence Jewell and tell it how it is for once, he needs to wake up and realize how bad a situation we are actually in! |
| News Comment | Town Closing in On Mohsni at 12:13:59
This signing and the others, can only be a good thing for us! Feeling much more confident with some more bodies in. 3 points tomorrow against a team we always play well against! COYB! |
| News Comment | Jewell Won't Quit as Redknapp Speculation Grows at 17:02:24
Sorry Jewell, but it's time for you to go. Like so many others, you've failed to make this group of players achieve. What we need now is someone with real footballing knowlege, somebody like Redknapp. Not only would it lift all of the players and the fans, but without a doubt we would see many more players wanting to move here purely because of the manager. Also, i cant help but think that Evans would back Redknapp more financially too! |
| News Comment | Strike Pair Set to Miss Charlton Clash at 23:11:35
Maybe an opportunity to try something different, JET through the middle? Give Carson a chance? I think Scotland can do a decent job and Hyam deserves his place back, N'Daw was completely average mid-week. |
| News Comment | Higginbotham Joins On Loan at 23:04:52
Pretty relieved to have someone else in at centre half after Wednesdays shower! Welcome Danny, hopefully you can bring us some much needed experience and turn this start around! |
