Rishi Sunak or Liz Truss
at 16:16 20 Jul 2022

Truss! It almost garuantees a Labour win in two years. The Tories will stab her in the back before then, when they see her costing votes.
Sunak is far too rich to understand normal working class life. All those polticians with over a million is assetts should be unable to stand as MPs.

Yeah that's right boy! my mates and I aremobility disabled and the car park saves us a long walk. We have to leave Felixstowe two hours before kickoff and its chaos getting out at the end of the games.
The train times are hopeless for the match and need to be shifted 15 minutes to allow a walk to and from the ground. If the council are taking even a part of the parking area then we are fked.

getting through to main ticket office…
at 17:46 31 Jul 2021

Yes I have had difficulty buying a match ticket. The sytem will not accept my user name or email. It asks for a customer number which doesn't work either. I tried registering as a new customer but it reported that a customer of my detail description already exists. That is correct...it's ME!
Ticket office too busy to reply to my enquiry.

I think its about tie a decent colour screen was installed at Portman Road. The current old fashioned score boards are inadequate for a modern football ground. Most grounds put us to shame.

Can someone explain why Davis, Gove, Redwood, Reece-Mog, Johnson, and other apparently well educated people, are persisting with Brexit which they know will be a disaster for us. Surely now we can see more of what we are letting ourselves in for, its time to think again about the referendum result rather than cut off our noses to spite our face.

The Third World has no money and they hate us anyway, and unlikely to do us any favours. The main trading partner is Europe and that i why I voted remain.

Anyone ever been on holiday in France to a Euro Camp style place?
at 12:16 11 Jan 2017

The family go every year. Be careful about Brittany, the weather is like Cornwall. Southern camps are more reliable and the ones below Clermont Ferrand can return temperature up to 36 C.
We use yelloh and Vacance Soliel. Euro Camp is another good company. The accommodation in tents or cabins is excellent and Yelloh has all mod cons and some cabins have TV but its all in French of course.

Some English is spoken at the Yellow camps but if you have a little basic French it is helpful. Vacanc Soliel is Danish and the staff are fluent in English. At many camps you can include bed linen and so on, which saves carting it in your boot.

On arrival they ask for a deposit which is returned when you leave the camp. Brexit will make it dearer now the pound has lost value.

Remember to book the train and pay the Thames Crossing charges. I also have a gubbins in the windscreen which is recognise by the toll booths in France. This device allows you to drive though the payage gates without messing about with money. Your card will be charged accordingly.

The camps are safe for the children and they can run about unsupervised even at night. Apply common sense. Read the web sites and all facilities are shown. Book online but don't leave it late or they are full up. Set it up now!

I read it. Great stuff but needs a bit of perseverance. I enjoy the critical American authors mentioned elsewhere on the thread.

NEW YORK...........
at 17:34 4 Jan 2017

New York is an easy place to get around. Use the dedicated bus from JFK to Grand Central Terminal and the same on the way back. It only costs a few dollars. I recommend The Bedford at 118 East 40th Street. www.bedfordhotel.com

Its a few minutes walk from where the bus drops you. You can safely book online. Six nights cost us $1234 including taxes. This price is ten years old. The rooms are quiet and loads of sights within walking distance.

See Top of the Rock at night and Empire State in the day.

Enjoy the trip.
