I heard he is on his Pogo stick, circling the Coventry training ground whilst giving their right back a very serious stare. |

Yep. It annoys me quite a lot when Tory politicians have used the phrase disrupting the business model of the traffickers. The real way to disrupt the business model isn’t faffing about incompetently on the last leg of journey. It is providing real options for humans as close to where the human needs it. When a person is fleeing for their life the choice should be hmmm, which is my nearest safe place, that UN place over the border, or the consulate over that border, rather than relying on a local trafficker gang exploiting them and trying to get across multiple countries and sea crossings. Just need a three word slogan that fits underneath a Lectern. Save Humans Quicker? |

The Observer eEffect is alway in play whenever a system is observed, it is a scientific principle. Hence needing double blind experiments, in cases where the thing being observed, may infer something from the actions of the observer, and hence effect the outcome. So a system will always be affected by being observed. Glad you have recognised such a principle. And as we could see, people still felt comfortable at being abusive. So what you seem to be suggesting is better observation is required. |

Surely Mark calls Phil, “…don’t worry Mr Ham, just another rumour, honest guv, you know I’ll always tell you first for real news.” |

I think that is reasonably obvious. As an aside, back in the day, did people ridicule and/or dive into the history and motives of climate protestors and BLM activists, etc…and try and discredit them that way,….anyhoo… If the proposition is: it is somewhere between feeling nervous, being unpleasant, or being at risk of assault, for Jewish people during these marches. Then to show this, you could walk around, whilst gathering data. On this forum we have seen some people state they aren’t really impressed with the stats on assaults and hate crimes. So they would welcome evidence gathering, surely? As it turns out, this chap was verbally abused and threatened, whilst interacting with the Met Police. And the Met Police, even though they saw him walking about in the crowd, thought it was potentially dangerous for him to carry on. If he was doing something against the law, they could arrest him for that. What was in evidence was a Jewish person, near police, with cameras rolling, and with men in sunglasses nearby, was verbally abused. That probably won’t worry some people too much. But, is that evidence of an issue that faces Jewish people during these protests? |

Is that because football fans are known to have groups within them that are just there for a fight. Therefore the implication is that the protest has groups of people within it that are a threat to Jewish people. Therefore, London isn’t safe for Jewish people during these events. Happy with that? |

The march, and many others are directed at the actions of Israel. Even by the people organising the protest. Even discussions on here talk about being against the actions of Isreal. So yes seems reasonable to call it an anti-Isreal march, because that is what it was. So back to my questions, the people acting in a threatening way, and the Met police officer, were their actions informed by the profession of the gentlemen, the social media posting history, frequency of road crossing, or how he described the march post the incident. Or were they informed by his obvious “Jewishness”. Why are you trying to find fault with the person that is told he can’t be protected by the police, because he is obviously Jewish. |

If I had thought you had suggested that, I would ask you the question why did you suggest that. I asked you a different question, which you didn’t answer. So can I take it you agree that calling people Nazi, scum, and threatening to stalk someone are all actions that are not part of helping children in Gaza? |
| Forum Reply | Threatened with arrest for being openly Jewish on the streets of London at 12:47 21 Apr 2024
That’s how the organisers describe the protest. “As Israel’s genocidal assault on Palestinians continues, take action on Saturday 20 April 2024 to demand Britain stop arming Israel.” Seems a quite reasonable short hand to describe a march that is against the actions of Isreal, as anti Isreal. Since, that is the short hand that the organisers use. You do seem to be trying very hard to find some fault in the UK citizen that was told he needs protection, but can’t be protected, because of his religion. |

I think it would be interesting for you to give an opinion on why an anti-genocide protestor needs to call either the police or Jewish man a Nazi, why another anti-genocide protestor is shouting scum, to someone, presumably not a fellow protestor, and why an anti-genocide protestor is threatening to stalk a Jewish man. How are any of those acts helping children in Gaza? |
