We Have Never Done Well Against Bottom-Placed Sides - Notes for Rotherham
at 09:04:18

Apart from the finishing, we did look a decent side at Rotherham. We battered them for 3/4 of the game. It was a very one sided match except for the the one stat that really matters.

Jackson: Pace is What I'm All About
at 15:39:22

I agree, after all the hype I was expecting a Kiwomyaesque performance but there were a couple of occasions when I thought he'd be first to the ball but wasn't. Hope it was just teething issues & lack of familiarity with the team or nerves. With defenders generally anticipating & thinking faster in the Championship as well as being physically more adept you'd expect the differential to be narrowed. No doubt we'll find out pretty soon if his raw pace translates to the pitch.

Hurst "Surprised By One or Two Things" That Are "Nowhere Near Good Enough"
at 07:42:33

Well if we want to get out of the Championship then something seriously has to change.

This sounds like a breathe of fresh air after years of frustration, boredom & complacency. A gamble which could go either way, granted, but one we surely have to take unless, of course, you're happy with the shower we've had to endure in ME's tenure. Even the one so-called ‘good' year wasn't much to write home about and let's face it our more recent derby & cup records are a disgrace.

I welcome the fresh eyes, youthful input & general shake up..... & sometimes you have to be prepared to go back to go forwards. I would rather we try to do this than stagnate to eventually crumble away like a derelict building.

As fans we have a crucial part to play in all this. What's happened in the past is done, it's history. Now is the time to bury our differences, pull together & fully get behind the team to do whatever we can to help get this once great club of OURS back on track. This means helping the boys come through when times are tough, picking them up and showing patience when we lose (yes we will lose some games) as well as celebrating together when we do well. In short, a place where our players consistently feel encouraged, confident, courageous and fully supported and the opposition feel like they don't want to be here.

There were signs of this player/crowd togetherness back end of last season and for most, PR was a much more enjoyable place to be. We all want the same thing don't we?

Us fans can make a difference.........

Town Confirm Price Cut as Evans Admits Last Year's Increase a Mistake
at 14:40:32

Welcome news by the club, however, none of our family will be renewing if MM stays due to the complete lack of entertainment on offer & abysmal treatment of fans. Simply put, not a protest - but no one wants to go ‘cos its sh*te.

That's 8 season ticket holders, including 6 who have travelled all over the country to support the team and 3 who have been going since the 60/70's. Indeed none of us have been to any of the games since being told to F off at scum.

Even when we reached the play-offs under MM the football was drab. To his credit though, he can spot and bring in decent players & grind it out when needed but he is too stubborn and set in his ways. He can not adapt and has been tactically outwitted by far too many opponents and this has led to losing to teams we could have & should have beaten. Dour football, no cup runs and unforgivably no victories over Nodge, for years now he has been completely out of touch with what the majority of the fan base wants (as has ME). C'mon give us something to bloody well cheer about so we can for once hold our heads high and be proud rather than embarrassed to support our beloved ITFC.

Also, MM is frustratingly revered for being honest and down to earth? Insecure, petulant & downright rude more like. I've lost count the number of times he harps on about what a great job he's done (yes for 12 months but pretty much lame after that) and how he doesn't mind getting stick (then spits out his dummy when it deservedly comes his way).

His Neanderthal brand of football has no place at our club and change needs to take place now (albeit 3 years too late) before the club is destroyed. With inaction and weak leadership, each week that passes is fuelling the exodus of more and more long standing fans and it will be increasingly more difficult to recover this as people find something better to do with their precious free time. I'm now realising that there are plenty of enjoyable things to do with my spare time rather than going to football on a Saturday.

MM's position is untenable and surely it would be better to bring in new personnel now so that they can assess what we have have now rather than wait.

If MM stays then I fear this club will be heading towards the same fate as the Neanderthals'.

McCarthy: I've Done a Very Good Job Under the Terms and Conditions at Town
at 09:07:01

Even when we finished 6/7th the style of football was generally sh!te. Yes, he did a good job in the first couple of years but since then we have gone backwards. He is unable to adapt...... which leads to extinction (God I hope it's his demise before our once proud Club's).

I can not remember the last time I was entertained at PR and we are fortunate that there are so many other poor to average teams in the Championship.

We will be here supporting the Town long after McCarthy has gone. He is situational leader at best but will never give us what we crave for. You are driving life-long fans away in their droves!

Mate you're gone & if Evans can't see that then you need to be outta here too.

Bart Delighted to Get His Chance

To keep his place he has to demonstrate that he's better than Gerks. So far he has yet to prove anything but he has a fantastic opportunity to step up on Saturday & put in a confident convincing performance between the sticks against Watford. Go out Bartman & play a blinder, put our nemisis to the sword with a clean sheet & 3 pts.
