Cambsblue - Roberts is 30+, not a striker, got a proper run in the town team & actually did OK, but was fully exposed & decided not up to scratch.
Rhodes is a striker, never got a game for town & has scored a goal every other game at a decent level from the day he started playing 1st team football. Oh yeah, & he's only 19!
As a town fan, bringing back someone with massive potential for £2mil highlights what a good deal it would be to sell CW for £13m! |

Sell potential (8 goals) of CW for £13m. Buy back the now established (25 goals) with potential Jordan Rhodes for £2m. What a good piece of business that would be. |

They'll use the difference between the £1.5m & the £4m they would have had to pay last year to make up a signing on fee, bonus structure etc which will keep the wages in line with club limits. £4m + his wages was impossible. £1.5m & his wages prob looks cheap for a quality striker. |

Get behind the manager 'The Truth' & stop knocking the club. We had a great end of season, got players in like Bullard & Dyer & that shows ambition. Your hero Keane was given huge lumps to sign Martin (A Man U hot prospect), Priskin (Full International), Leadbitter (Prem regular) etc etc Maybe the fact they got dumped in the reserves & refused contract talks (prob under keanes advice), might be a deterrent to joining. Sticking loyal to that idiot when anyone with any brain knew he was totally flawed will take time to recove from. COYB. In PJ we trust! |

Where Clegg is green as grass & a total mug, is that he should have sold or sorted any contract of any player in the summer that they may have wanted to keep.
The 'offers' they received for Mac were probably derisory (or free) given that they have let everyone else go either on loan or for free. It was bad business not to sell him if they didn't intend on keeping him.
The sad fact is we don't have any players worth anything. CW perhaps, but watching him on Saturday, he's definitely not the next Wayne Rooney. Let's hope he ain't the next Dean Bowditch. |
