Rubbish. Just because someone vaguely claims that "Colchester are understood to be interested...", that doesn't mean that Colchester have even been in contact with any of those players, and it definitely doesn't mean they're likely to sign any of them. It's way beyond that club's financial range anyway, unless the players agree to vastly (!) reduced salaries.
What it does mean is that some desperate agent(s), in an attempt to generate interest in the flood of now-clubless players on their books, may have thrown unsubstantiated hints at a local news rag that was equally desperate for a story.
In short, don't believe everything that comes out of the rumour mill at the moment! |
