Holding Out For A Hero
at 12:23:59

Not a particularly inspiring article, from a usually intersting blogger, that does not address the primary characteristic of derby rivalry. The emotions generated, sustained and aired endlessly, Question: which set of fans is more jealous of the other?

And I cannot see how finishing fifth in the top league, and within one game of third place, is overshadowed by the pots of lesser competions. When asked, we rarely talk about our championship successes - unless it is in conjunction with the 1st division title!

Reserves Face Spurs
at 16:13:42

Sounds like a showcase opportunity for Wickham to impress Rednapp - behind closed doors..............

I've watched Norwich (sorry) a couple of times on the box and they impress with their fluid play and determination never to give up. Selection for Sunday has to be right - an attacking formation, with players playing in their best positions. Heh, someone wake me up.............

Keane: We Are Making Progress
at 15:28:09

One more thing. However bad it gets, never boo your own team. Vent anger and dismay on the opposition - it works wonders (Sheff Utd 2-0 down, Town reduced to 11 men - 10 on the pitch and one raucous, deafening one in the stands 3-2; nuff said)

Keane: We Are Making Progress
at 15:22:32

Legend, in your longevity report you forgot to mention the late lamented Sir Bob. Given the size of our club, the resources available and his achievements, his record stands comparison with anyone - and 13 years from strugglers to Euro-beaters supports the case for stability. However, stablity with the right man, rather than one whose erratic performances in all areas, provides the case for so much 'debate' on this board.

U18s Coach Pejic Suspended
at 10:28:37

So Evans has seen the light. He understands that Keane has been advised on 1st team tactics by Pejic and is, in fact, Pejic's puppet. Very shrewd. Now will the real Roy Keane stand-up - and let us watch the football flow!

Pablo Loan Set to Go Through Today
at 12:21:33

If only he could have matched his skill and awareness with effort.

So its Town versus the reserves on Saturday. Should be a walkover - not! They'll probably pass us off the pitch and we'll win 1-0

Keane Happy With Four-Point Haul
at 14:53:45

A great start - especially with the current, unsettled nature of the club. I think Keane learned a lot last year and, hopefully we shall see him put much of that into practice.

Once all the comings and goings have been settled, let's look forward to some real fireworks on the pitch. Norris is an excellent choice for captain and let's hope he stays injury-free. It's another tough league this year, no outstanding club but a lot of very useful ones. A top six finish is not beyond us and should make the misery of last season a distant memory.

Sunderland Keeper Close to Joining Town
at 12:04:30

Good piece of business.

Let a good keeper go, albeit on heavy wages, bring in a replacement of similar calibre, also on heavy wages and pay a hefty fee.

Good piece of business.

Anybody else noticed how Palace are looking more like Town every day? In fact, beginning to look more like Town than Town look?

Wright Training With Palace
at 11:34:58

Palace are shaping up for a top six finish, with or without Wright.

Always sad to hear of ex-players having problems. When will we see another 30-goal-a-season striker at PR? Good luck DJ!

Well done tractorboybig! At last some wit on this board!

Last season - the most boring in living memory. This close season - the most boring in living memory. To paraphrase Bill - Once more unto the beach dear suffering blues - at least the sun is shining!

Keane Not Giving Up On Priskin and Martin
at 16:12:36

Get Ambrose back.

Played a blinder to keep Palace up with his 20th of the season. They will have to sell their best players to satisfy the administration demands; although we could have had hiom for a song when Jim brought him in on loan and then let him go.

Keane Set to Appoint Assistant Manager
at 12:32:27

There's one good man manager who'll be out of work come the end of the season - although I think that he is a strong favourite to take over at Rochdale...........
