| News Comment | Away Kit Delayed Until Mid-July at 12:04:52
The away kit was unveiled on July 9th last year so a mid-July delay isn't too much of a big deal (I know this because that's my birthday and it was too late to get it as a present) |
| News Comment | Drinan Set to Miss Two Months, Woolfenden Not Ready to Return at 16:54:28
It's mad that an injury I didn't even notice Drinan get during the game, and we weren't sure whether his substitution was for an injury or tactical, is something that's going to keep him out for two months. Hawkins has been touted as a target man, the role Drinan was playing first half against Wigan, so it's good we should have a decent replacement. |
| News Comment | Lambert: The Way We're Playing is the Most Pleasing Aspect at 15:45:49
Delighted with the points, happy with the result, great day at the office. ...if I had a dictaphone put in front of me I perhaps wouldn't have picked out our style of play as the number one success of the afternoon and I probably wouldn't have described Nsiala after that game as “first class”, but you can only beat what's in front of you and we did. Dozzell showed great passing and composure, this could be a great season for him. If he sits slightly more forward rather than a defensive screen he'll be able to spray a few more balls around. I also don't think Norwood deserves the pelters he's getting on the forum, his roaming link up play was a better alternative to Drinan who wasn't making the ball stick up top. Good result, we/they should enjoy the success, then let's move on to the next one. |
| News Comment | Rossiter Returns to ITFC Women at 16:36:13
Agreed, portman_blue, however it's still good to get the news about the women's team. I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if duplicating all relevant parts of the site so there's a men's and women's version to maintain each week would Involve more time and money than the site can afford to spare at the moment. |
| News Comment | Nolan Confident He Can Make Step Up at 13:27:57
Huge missed opportunity that physio Chris Skitt is known as Skitty and not Skittles. Reminds me of Wayne Rooney's peers opting to call him Wazza. I assume the thought process was less "whats a clever play on words on Gazza" and more "...well we can't call him Wayne-y or Rooney-y...". |
| News Comment | Coke to Be Released at 13:55:00
A shame it hasn't worked out, he seemed a decent bloke at the London ITFCSC Q&A. Down to earth and not like your averagd modern footballer. Admittedly you need a few bas**rds in your team but you need some balance too. |
| News Comment | Fans Around the World Meeting Up to Watch the Derby at 17:09:34
@MattinLondon LONDON; Jetlag, Cleveland St ... I'll check that the pub is definitely showing it tonight and report back tomorrow. I'm worried the Prem might take precedence- I don't think there was any competing games when I saw Derby last time. There was even an Ipswich supporting family sat in the corner. |
| News Comment | Marshall Launches Football Academy at 10:13:08
He'd be good to do an ex-files profile with. He's probably one of the last from the pre-money era so may have an interesting post-football career, rather than the footballers now who have a fair amount of cash so a fairly routine post-football life. |
