Norfolk trip recommendations

as recommended, you can also try parking at Brandon Country Park and walking through to High Lodge - if you have mountain bikes, you can take the various paths and trails around there.

Parking at Brandon Country Park is a lot cheaper and its approx. 45-90 mins walk depending on the route you take!

Grass roots footy - Sin Bin next season
at 11:46 12 Feb 2019

We already have it in the Anglian Combination and Central and South Norfolk Leagues!

I must admit when it was first muted by the AC committee I was against it but having now seen it work in the AC for 2 years and the CSNL for the past year, I am now 100% behind it!

The sticking point of it is what does a ref consider dissent? What you consider dissent maybe different to me and so on.

In our leagues the referee manages the time in the sin bin and the player has to go in to the dugouts (if available) or go with the bench etc.

As others have mentioned, it saves a lot of time and money as well......

Another brief kids' football rant

In regards to the fact the subs have not been paid, if you and / or the club is out of pocket, you can speak to the county FA who in turn can place a Football Debt Recovery scheme in place!

http://www.suffolkfa.com/leagues-and-clubs/finance/debt-recovery

Its a bit harsh on the young lad but will clear the debts etc

I am the club sec of an adult side and had to use it on a few players who had left!

Parking for Aston Villa
at 10:49 24 Jan 2019

when we went a few years ago in the FA Cup, we parked at the NEC and then got the train in!

Just checked it out, return ticket from the NEC to Witton is £4.60 and takes 35-45 mins

For kits, look no further than 3Q Sports - based in Ely they are fantastic!

Prices are very good - probably the best I have seen for full kits.

They have a section for special offers - all sorts of kits at bundle prices etc

I am Club Sec for Brandon Town FC and have used them for everything for the past 5 years!

Leon Clarke from Sheffield United seems to be having a good season as well!

Had to laugh at Sky this morning
at 13:47 15 Dec 2017

Sky is so expensive!

We have BT Sport at ours in Brandon - purely because they show the 5:30 kick off games which is normally just after our teams have finished.

Overall cost is about £65 per month but it is only BT Sport 1 so we dont get the european cups etc which isnt too much of an issue as its only open for training on Wednesdays during the week!

Is always worth having a look!

I think I am just going to have to hit the decorating hard and get stuck into it over the next few days and beat him to it and see what that does!

The added difficulty is we were looking to invite the wifes sisters, husbands and kids down but cant leave the IL's out............

Either way, looks like I am screwed / stuck in the middle and have no chance of winning!

New Years Eve
at 07:25 5 Dec 2017

Morning all,

Got a quick one and I need some advice! I appreciate the below may make me seem like an ass but oh well......

The wife and I moved into our new home on Friday (sorry we crossed the border to Norfolk) - the in-laws "surprised" us by coming down from Nottingham on Saturday to "help" with the unpacking etc. I have worked in the removals industry for over 10 years so I was fine doing it myself in the way I always have done it so you can guess that I wasn't impressed about this but whilst they were here, the FIL made a comment about New Years Eve - basically the long and short of it was about them coming to the house for the NYE weekend so we can decorate etc for 3 days. Categorically, I do not want this to happen as he always tries to take over and has a paddy if he doesn't get his way!

Anyone else been in a situation similar to the above and more importantly, how did you get them to not come?

Any and all ideas welcome and gratefully received!

Out of the responses given, yours was the only one relevant!

Will keep an eye out for these..... we are aiming to be in the city for around 1:30 - only problem is Cardiff entertain Milwall that afternoon as well.....
