Plymouth Argyle 0-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 19:15:19

Steady boys, steady, one game at a time, but wow, what a squad, what a manager, what a coaching staff, what owners, what club management, what a structure we’ve got, even a recruitment department! Never since my first game in November 1972 have I been so excited. Just WOW!

Former Blue Norris Overwhelmed By Fans' Support
at 18:47:51

I was quite miffed when he purposely let his contract run down and so left on a free for Portsmouth, no doubt negotiating a bumper signing on fee into the bargain. Bit of retribution when Portsmouth went bust. The question is, how were his parents custodians of his savings to be able to run off with it? Tax evasion? Doesn't add up. The story line is not the whole tale.

Burgess Helps Australia Into Round of 16

Pleased for him representing his country and must make him very proud. Being a totally selfish supporter though, I wish he was at PR. Hope Edmundson doesn't get injured or sent off. Important run-in with Southampton pressing us.

Donacien Not Surprised By Start But Only Looking to the Next Game
at 19:24:07

I'm really pleased for him. What a thoroughly nice and honest bloke. I remember Paul Hurst sticking him in at left back. Just did not look comfortable at all and must have knocked his confidence. Thank goodness for where we are now though. Fairyland compared to what we have had to endure for the last twenty years. Wonderful times to be following the Town. And our owners are really on the ball. Focused and thoroughly committed. Proper business people with a professional structure in place. Wonderful!

Celina's Kasımpaşa Move Off
at 10:17:02

He is on a reputed £19,000 pw at Dijon with 2 years left on his contract. Same as Jimmy Bullard's position when he was at Hull and they wanted to get him off the payroll. So I would think that Celina is waiting until he gets offered better personal terms. Sam Morsy is our highest earner on £10k pw according to salary sport, so Town may try and cut a loan deal and pay say 50% of his wages to Dijon with the hope we reach the Championship, then buy the player and pay Celina close to £19k pw.

McKenna: US Owners Have Been Really Supportive
at 17:02:34

Pity about this season with all the excitement and expectations that we had last August, but all of us are looking forward to 2022/23 now. Personally speaking and after 50 years of living in Suffolk, I feel that I am in fairy land compared to what has gone on in the past 20 years. Wow, to be a Town fan now!!! COYB, so excited for the future.

Judge Deal Reportedly Close

Brilliant addition if we can sign him, especially with the experience he will bring. Our wage bill must be eye wateringly huge now. Surely some fringe squad members will be sold, no doubt at a loss though.

Lambert: I Can Still Keep Town Up With Hard Work and Financial Support
at 11:54:31

Even Mick said that the January transfer window is a difficult one to do business in. The added difficulty is that we are bottom of the league and potential targets may not fancy coming to PR. I'm sure ME & PL with their staff are doing their level best to bring players in. If we get relegated, it will cost ME even more to keep us afloat financially.

Lambert Targeting at Least Half-a-Dozen, Including Two Strikers
at 12:03:49

I don't think it's about the money that ME is willing to spend or not spend, it is about players willing to join us permanently bearing in mind our league position. That brings into consideration wages now & if the worst happens, what will they be in League One and does a potential target want to take the risk of playing L1 football next season? I also worry about holding on to our promising young players if we go down. The buzzards will be circling. Anyway, enough of that, today starts our winning run to get out of trouble.

We March On to Ipswich. Let’s Hope We Win Our First Away Game - Notes for Millwall
at 12:00:42

Very interesting and an excellent report as always, Harry. Thank you. Just worried about Millwall looking for their first away win of the season. We can be very accomodating to teams seeking something like that. But, no! We're going to win tomorrow and start a rapid recovery. Stay positive! COYB!

Leicester Youngster Elder Training With View to Loan as Dawkins on Trial
at 16:07:40

Just like socialists, good at spending other people's money. Those knocking Marcus Evans should think again. ME bought the Club, financially backed so called professional football managers for investments in new players & currently keeps the Club afloat. Total spent so far must be about £100 Million that Marcus has invested in ITFC. Please don't knock him. Who else would be crazy enough to get involved in a football club?!! It's financial madness. Makes no business sense at all. If we go down to League One, can we hold on to our promising young players? And the financial burden of it all will all be on the desk of ME to sort out. Be grateful that ME still is around and supports the Club!

Lambert: We Didn't Do Enough in Both Boxes
at 10:26:24

Let's try & keep positive and get behind the team right to the end of the season, no matter what happens. PL is doing a great job with the players he has inherited and a word on Marcus Evans: he has invested about £100Mn of his own money since the start of his tenure. Like all of us, he is a football supporter and has appointed so-called professional managers to run the club. Without ME continually putting his hand in his pocket, we would be in receivership.

Ipswich Town 1-1 Sheffield United - Match Report
at 22:05:14

What a brilliant game! I'm hoarse and the fans were great throughout the whole game. Mick Mills on the radio driving home said Sheff. Utd were the better team, but didn't our team give everything?! Keep the faith everyone, we're giving it a real good go and PL is doing an amazing job. I'm sure we will get out of trouble. Absolutely convinced now.

Lambert: First Win Was Always Going to Be a Scrappy One
at 18:35:38

PL has 'given a list' to ME for January signings. A 'list' sounds more than 'a bit of help', but suppose it is a list from who can actually be brought in. Hate to criticise any players, but I would like see two new full backs and a Championship experienced target man/striker. However, I have not seen any opposing teams that have full backs better than ours. West Brom's full backs a case in point, I think. Fine margins. Exciting times now we have 3 precious points in the bag. Terrible day though for football!

Lambert Expects to Stay With Town Whatever Happens This Season
at 20:39:51

This guy is really doing everything he can to get us out of this mess and he certainly seems to have tuned in to the ethos of our great Club. Really good to hear. I just cannot believe what an absolutely naive, big headed and cocky know-all Paul Hurst turned out to be. He has very nearly wrecked us, sitting here adrift at the foot of the league. Has cost the Club (ME) millions. Just look how big our squad is now. PL has got a mountain of a job, but he's the best man to do it and as a plus for us fans, the football is actually entertaining. (apart from the results of course). Oh please may we get some wins

Ipswich Town 2-3 Bristol City - Match Report
at 18:36:02

Still wondering how we lost that game. Paul Hurst acted like a completely naive & clueless twerp signing all these lower league players expecting them to all step up to Championship level on day one. Despite what PH dismissively says now, he bought a new team. Paul Lambert can only work with who he has inherited and is doing a brilliant job, but he cannot legislate for individual errors or players that are just not good enough. And what players would be willing to join us in January knowing that League One is looking likely? I don't like people knocking ME. He has ploughed in some £100Mn of his own money since taking over ownership. Some on here finding it easy to spend his money. Without ME, ITFC would go down the plughole. Still can't believe that Hurst turned out to be so naive, stupid and cocky with it. Suppose he was being paid £20k a week while he was here. ME must be feeling so let down as he has got about as much idea about football as all the contributors on here!

We looked a team today. Thoroughly enjoyed an entertaining match, but disappointed that we didn't get all the points of course. We've got a proper manager now and another week training & preparing will be very useful. We have to do better with the balls we put into the opponent's box though

"Looking back now there are things I would probably change but I have no regrets. I aim to make sure the experience with Ipswich will only make me better at my job" Well, all the best with that then, don't worry about us heading for L1 and looking a far worse outfit than when you arrived. You've left us right in the smelly stuff.
