I am saddened that you have completely misrepresented my post and attempted to personalise it. Frankly, it was very clear that I wasn’t drawing the moral equivalence you suggest. Based on my original thread about the nature of Phil’s banning, and the subsequent posts, there is are clearly something very unjust going on.

I do accept that they have been damning about the ban. I just think that, in light of ME’s outrageous comments, it is time they escalated their approach.

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Woolley and Watson are great. Some will disagree, but IMO we, and the club, are very lucky to have such fair-minded local journalists. For this reason, I would like to see them do more to fight for this vital aspect of our extended club.

The banning of Phil from the pressers is easily the most un-Ipswich action the club has taken in my lifetime. Putting aside our recent dismal results, this fundamentally damages the values that we hold dear as Town fans.

Shouldn’t the likes of Stuart Watson and Brennan Woolley be doing more to stand up for the local press freedom by boycotting Lambert?

A stronger, more united approach is essential. Their silence is deafening.

The trouble with this strategy is that it is not controllable. I prefer the idea of legally disrupting ME's business interests. Think Extinction Rebellion.

Possible forms of action against Evans
at 08:32 4 Dec 2020

I have been a fan since the late 1970s and have been a season ticket holder for the last thirty years. I have never felt more disenfranchised by our club after the banning of Phil from the pressers and reading Evan's comments last night. Poor performances are one thing, but this is very much more troubling.

I fully support the work that Blue Action have been doing, and sincerely hope they can formulate further ongoing protests.

I am not suggesting we undertake any illegal action, but surely a targeted programme of disruption against ME's business interests in an option(?). Clearly this his only real concern.

Ahhh..they were indeed happy times. Colin played his part perfectly. Don’t bother judging me, but I always liked the fact that he enjoyed it so much.

Magilton on being sacked by Evans...
at 15:19 24 Feb 2020

I have fully accepted the story that we have previously been told about the circumstances around the sacking and the fact that it had been complicated by JM's untimely trip to Northern Ireland. What I (we) didn't know was that Evans had already primed the media and clearly sanctioned the news release as he spoke to Jim in real-time - knowing that he was in hospital with his mother in intensive care. I just can't accept that that needed to happen.

The whole ‘noncommittal’ from PL was about leveraging his new contract.

I personally don’t have a massive problem with Lambert, but this whole episode has shone a light on his methods.
