I was one through the McCarthy era stating we need new fans, youngsters wanting to go. Its taken a bit of time but we are hear now. We had/have such an aging fan base from what I used to see at PR (no offence to anyone!)
On one hand, its great for the club, lots of people wanting to go, buying merchandise etc.
On a personal note, I can't get to every game and I didn't get a membership (my own choice/fault) so the last few months has been a nightmare getting tickets. However, its going to have to be something I "invest" in next year to stand any chance of tickets. Hopefully they get the ballot thing back like the last time in the Premier League.
However, my point is, you say " I was there for the home game against Forst green so i'm a better supporter". Unfortunately it doesn't work like that.
The last MM years were awful, followed by a terrible year, then a few meh years. its not surprising the team does well people want to come back is it? [Post edited 3 May 10:30]

Agreed. I always thought, "He'll never make it at chelsea," and he has so proved me wrong. However, he did play midfield here and now plays in defence for them..... 
I know people liked him here, and he was playing in a poor team, but apart from a feew glimpses of skill, he never looked that good (in my opinion).
I would doubt Chelsea would let him go at a price we could afford. |

I'd say no chance.
Not sure if he's injured (can't see that he is) but doesn't even get on Spurs' bench tonight.
Not sure if he didn't fit our style, or its something else, but McKenna didn't give him many minutes.
We need players who are going to be better than our current ones, and he's not, at the moment anyway. |

The past few years, if i'm at PR, I don't put my Ipswich shirt on until i'm in my seat.
I just forgot one time and they won and I thought I would just do it each time. They've not lost yet so i've kept doing it.
However, I know in my head it means absolutely sod all! |

All this "I hope.this player scores the winner" is all a bit odd.
Yes if we're 4 up then OK wish a player scores.
Jackson no doubt won't start so let's hope he doesn't score the winner. I want it 4-0 at half time so I can breathe.... ! |

Correct. If everyone got on the pitch, surely they'd all get crushed.
If you want to go on, go on, if not don't. As someone said, it's over complicating it.
As long as there isn't any stupidity, like hitting players, then it's fine. |

Agreed. Un til its done i'm not counting any chickens.
We've lost 1 game at home (in the league) all season, to Leeds. We SHOULD at least get a draw. I'm very confident, however it ony takes an unlucky game etc..........rememeber Maidstone! |

I think as long as its done sensibly without people going up to Huddersfield players (who will have been relegated) then it's fully justified this year......!

I remember when people were saying drawing to Preston (in a pretty meaningless game) was absolute scenes.
They now know what "absolute scenes" is. We've had a few this season to be fair. |

I can't remember who or even what team (might have been on of our ex-players) but I'm sure there was a time where some players didn't want to go up as they knew they'd be surplus to requirements (probably if their contracts were running out etc).
I remember Sam Allardyce ( i think) said once that the Bolton hierarchy didn't want them getting into Europe (or champions league) when they threatened it one season.
I should imagine this isn't the case at Ipswich today and surely they must be all on some sort of bonus/wage increase. |
