Blues 1 proves the point of Ipswich blocking pathways into the first team with Ndaba as the example. What choice does a young player have then but to leave. My point exactly.
None of the young players you mention are anywhere near the first team, that's my point they should be which shows a pathway to the first team. |

I believe this is down to pathways to the first team. At this present time no youngsters are getting a chance. Dyer eluded to it as did Gibbs before moving on to Norwich. You have to show the youngsters there is a route through but at the moment there definitely isn't. My example is Ndaba being loaned out again rather than getting opportunities with us and we bring in a 35 year old. We must show these young players we want them at out club. |

We have taken up the option on him so clubs will have to pay a bit more. Liam Gibbs has imo progressed well having been signed into Norwich development squad but already pushing into their first team squad. We seem to lack the ability to hold onto our best youngsters. I think if Chirewa has seen Gibbs progression I'm guessing that would give him more encouragement to leave. I hope he stays as I did with all our youngsters before him but if these clubs really want him then he will be off. |

McKenna is doing a fantastic job. Let's see how many youngsters get a chance. Last season we had a crop of player who went all the way to a youth Cup semifinal. None of these youngsters have been given an opportunity. All I'm saying is don't believe everything you read in these well worded statements. |

Don't think Simpson will be with us next season. Another youngster in my opinion given no real opinion but to leave. If your one of Ashton's chums you get a good deal if not its a take it or leave it deal (and believe me the deal is terrible) then try and make it look like it's the player that doesn't want to stay. Dyer leaving will give you a little idea of how the youngsters are being treated. I've got friends (not so many now) at the club and believe me Ashton likes things his own way. Good luck to the lad wherever you may end up. |

Last season u18 were a better crop but none have been progressed into the first team scene. Lost our best young talent to the budgies. Hopefully our club can start producing youngsters to play in our first team. |

Wow!! We were promised so much but so far the new era has delivered so little. Imo we have lost the heart of our club. None of these players have the desire to play for our club. They are on massive league 1 wages and producing nothing. This is the lowest I have felt in my 50 years of supporting our once great club. RIP Ipswich Town. |

Why are our u18 matches still behind closed doors. Other clubs are allowing fans ?.
Our club were very poor last year showing our u18's progress to the FA youth cup semifinal, again we relied on other clubs to stream the match. |

What about the GEL!!! When's that starting. I'm not falling for the team need to gel, it's just Cooks get out of jail for a while. Our last 2 opponents have brought in 17 & 14 new players themselves and they seem to also have been provided with Gel!! Haha.
I can hear it now once we get our first win, Cook " the team are now starting to gel".
I know all you Cook is the messiah fans will down mark me but you are all falling for his charm and media mastering, similar to that of Lambert in his early days. I guarantee you will all be calling for Cooks head at some stage during his time here.
Let the down marking commence haha.

We should be developing our own. Cook let Gibbs join Norwich (his words). We should have focused on developing Gibbs instead of Barry. What's happening with Baggott hes another player we should be looking at developing. This doesn't make sense to me.

Truthhurts. Totally agree with what you are saying. The bits I've been hearing from inside the club is that the youngsters are being overlooked. I believe this was a big reason for our top youngster Gibbs decision to move on to further his career, he almost said as much in his interview with his new club. |
