I have no objection in principle provided he has trained with the team for a few months and maybe been on loan to a L1 club and shown that he is up to standard.

Not quite...

Halifax qualified for play-offs by finishing seventh. They lost to Solihull who finished 4th.

Gateshead (6th) would have played Altrincham (5th) but dropped out so Altrincham received a bye into the semi-final.

...over the next 3 or 5 or 6 games this team and manager and coaching staff have performed magnificently.

Match preparation and tactics have been spot-on. The players on the pitch have never given less than 100%. They have chased apparent lost causes and caught them - just look at the points we've taken after being a goal or two down.

To the manager, coaches and players... You have already done us proud. Now let's finish the job!

I would like a Southampton win and hope that they have something to play for on 4th May. Though it would definitely be amusing to see Saints' manager's reaction to a 99th minute Leicester winner.

Don't have one for each division but a soft spot for some...

Oldham Athletic. Dad and lots of family from there.

Bristol Rovers. My Bristol mate was a Gas from Fishponds and he died young.

Newcastle United. When I was a child I played for a team in the iconic black and white stripes.

Celtic. A 1967 thing plus their green hoops is terrific kit and they're not nasty Rangers.

Stranraer. Just always looked out for their results. Their away strip is tartan. Wow!

Stenhousemuir. Looked at their website years ago and it was really funny with them taking the mickey out of themselves.

Truro City. Knew a girl from there.

Tow Law Town. Liked the name when I was a kid and that Newcastle kit.

Arsenal. They're not Tottenham.

Tranmere. They are not Liverpool nor Everton.

...including any injury sustained when child slips on damp leaves and whacks his head on the hardcourt surface. I suspect plenty of 'public' facilities are locked away because councils fear being held liable.

Can anyone explain why BBC Radio 4 led its news programmes with news that a foreign convicted criminal, albeit a famous one, has died?
