This would be great, but suspect that the decision has already been made as BetVictor are no longer making a market on the next Ipswich manager. |
| News Comment | Morsy: Players Shocked and Sad to See Cook Go at 16:24:51
Totally bored of all this now. Yet another false dawn. Hopes raised in expectation only to be dashed by a group of overpaid players who (mostly) don't really care enough to play a full 90 minutes, even for the boss that they joined for! In another report on this interview it's all ‘ifs' ‘buts', ‘fine margins', ‘missed opportunities' and even a dig at the fans for being ‘impatient'! IMPATIENT! We have suffered eternal decline under numerous managers and umpteen underperforming players…. No mention of the goal drought, giving up 2 goal leads, losing to boys and struggling against L2 teams. Don't you dare start pointing the finger at the fans. |
| News Comment | Cook: Our Inconsistency is Our Consistency at 23:47:29
Luke Hyam made a comment on Radio Suffolk to say that this team seems to perform better when its deemed to be the 'underdog'. Which I tend to agree with. I would even go a little further and suggest that there is an element of arrogance against 'lesser' sides which means we try as hard as we should and end up getting done. Good teams give all opposition the same level of respect and go at them with 100%. We cant afford complacency |
| News Comment | Lambert: The Crap That's Been Written Has Been Unbelievable at 12:15:16
And there you have it kids, bosses dont like critisism. Nod along sweetly and we'll all get along swimmingly. Big month this, some very important games. Feel that the relationship between manager and fans could be very different come Christmas. Let's hope we all have that cheery festive spirit. |
| News Comment | Lambert on Rotation: We'll Be a Better Team For It at 14:24:13
I understand why he's doing it, but it IS creating confusion on the pitch. This is the problem with a large squad, you have to keep everyone happy. Paul just needs to find the balance. It worked well in the first 11 games, but the last 2 have ruthlessly exposed the disadvantages. I still believe that we should stick to a system and a core of players and let the opposition worry about us. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-2 Rotherham United - Match Report at 22:04:57
Ok, so now I'm getting concerned. Not so much with the side, but with Mr Lambert. I am really concerned about his choice of formations. On paper, we have by far the strongest squad, full of creative players and a striker that scored 32 goals last year, and we are back to being toothless. Lots of sides are banging 4, 5, 6 goals a game. I am also getting increasingly concerned with the rotation strategy. The players on the field tonight looked like strangers to each other. Lambert needs to find a system and a tam and stick with it. And finally we have the postponements for internationals. Lambert has a rotation strategy so there is NONEED to postpone our games, we have the squad to cope, all it's achieved is to unsettle the squad. And there there is the problem of only playing for 45 mins. We have not had a ‘90 minute' performance all season. There are some serious parallels with last season. I'm really worried |
| News Comment | Accrington Stanley 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 14:33:57
If there is still any doubt over whether to give Wilson a new contract, just watch a replay of Nsiala today, absolutely shocking. Sign him up NOW. As above, agreed that Dozzell is just not up to L1 level and Judge is not the player we had hoped for. A warning here that perhaps our squad depth is not quite as deep as we had hoped. Playing for a 1-0 is a dangerous game and we were caught out today. Hopefully a blip rather than a reality check. God bless those that travelled the 500 miles to be there today. You lot are amazing. It was a perfect storm today, the game after a controversial international break now L11 drawn 11, on sky and the other side of the UK, on a Sunday lunchtime, I should have had money on an ITFC loss. On to the next one lads |
| News Comment | Lambert Could Make Further Additions at 14:02:09
Perhaps all the ME haters can give him a break now? PL has requested, ME has delivered. We now have a great squad, if they are all in form, and it's down to PL to pick the right players and the right formation to win games. The next problem is going to be keeping those not playing happy.... COYB! |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-1 AFC Wimbledon - Highlights at 11:07:14
Dont get me wrong, Lambert has been a breath of pure fresh air since his arrival, but he made a mistake with 4-3-3 in the first half, and we were awful. The second he went 4-4-2 we were a different team. Also, I get that we have a lot of players coming back but surely the best way to do this is start them and sub them out after 60 mins.... and PL needs to find his best 11 and stick with it. New Spurs lad was awesome. Donacien was awful. We need to better Bolton on Saturday as goal difference could be critical come May. |
| News Comment | Garbutt Starts for Blues at Colchester at 20:30:35
Norwood scored 32 goals as lone striker for Tranmere. It's not the number of strikers up top that's the problem, it's getting the ball to them |
| News Comment | Garbutt Looking for a Club That Feels Like Home at 23:13:44
According to vital football Everton, this guy is on 28k week! I dont think he'll be staying at Ipswich after his loan! If true, what a life! 26 and paid 1.5m for playing for Oxford! |
| News Comment | Keane: Goal Was the Perfect Start at 17:22:34
It must just be frustration, but I am really starting to get a bit irritated by the constant stream of players being interviewed who roll out the same old rhetoric suggesting that our luck will change, that we'll start scoring, and stop conceding silly goals and that the atmosphere in the team is not what you would expect of a bottom side etc. Enough of the words, just do it on the pitch and get us out of this mess. Can we please ban these interviews until we are above Rotherham?! |
