Personally I love the idea of having coloured smoke set off in games to add to the atmosphere. I get that they can be a safety hazard and if handled incorrectly they can cause injury/damage. With that said I personally think that if the club could come up with a way of having some kind of smoke machines that set of blue and white smoke from the Bobby Robson stand as the teams come out and then whenever we score it would help to create an unreal atmosphere a bit like the Yellow wall at Dortmund but all done in a safe and controlled manner to avoid any injuries or damage to the ground.
I know it has probably been said a thousand times but I'm so impressed by everything that is going on this summer from the talk by Ashton about fixing up Portman road to bringing in the right coaches and support staff. I'm also so impressed by the fact that for the first time it seems the womens team are being given proper contracts! I know its not as big as mens football but by doing this it really feels like the new owners are creating a real club something which has been missing for the past however many years! It almost feels like they are wanting to do with Town what the owners at Leicester City have done.
Seeing as the club seem to like to announce signing 2 players at a time recently who else is going to be confirmed today? I would like it to be either a CB or Coulson
I must admit I've been pretty impressed with how the club have released the news of new signings it seems that they are going with the narrative of "player X has left town and we thank them for their contribution" then a couple of hours later after the dust has settled "we've signed player Y from (insert team) for an undisclosed fee".
Just seen that Ed Sheeran went and did a little set for the England team the other night. Rumours have it that he spoke to Kane, who wants to leave Spurs and Ed is a friend of his, and has managed to persuade him to join town. Defo info
Does anyone have any experience in joining and being in the Army Reserves? I'm looking at potentially joining up at some point this year and just want to hear peoples personal experiences of being a reservist.
I get what people are saying when they are concerned that new owners coming in will end up with the club accruing a debt against them however if you look at most clubs they will have some sort of "debt" that is owed to the owners one team that stands out (and I know they are far bigger and have a bigger global brand than us) is Manchester United. They "owe" the Glazers around £470m however because of how the Glazers have run the club and the fact they have are a global brand means that they don't worry too much about the debt.
With this consortium being American I'm sure they will want to see some return on their investment which will mean them putting money into the club to improve both on and off the field to get us higher up the football pyramid and become an even more saleable asset. Evans hasn't run the club properly since he came in, he thought if he stuck a few million in he would get us into the prem and then sell us when that didn't happen he was stuck with us and paid the bare minimum to keep the club afloat each season.
