| News Comment | McKenna: We'll Have to Be at Our Best Against Millwall at 22:53:19
Yet another game that we can't watch on TownTV as an international subscriber...TownTV is feeling more and more expensive with every passing week. I don't think it will be worth it at all if we continue having a good season as more and more games will be selected for Sky or whatever other broadcast channel shows the games overseas. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-0 Gillingham - Match Report at 21:12:58
This is an important result. The late goal will give us confidence that we can break teams down if we keep doing what we are doing. I'm sure this would have finished 0-0 last season as we had trouble arresting slumps. Let's make it 5 out of 5 at home to a poor Crewe side on Saturday! |

Not sure that he will be the one to do the unveiling as he has always kept a low profile since his Town days. He hasn't always spoken highly of Beattie either. The Beat knicked his watch round my grandad's house when they were playing snooker for example!! |

Gotta sign this fella if he is fit. Was still first choice for West Ham last season and there fans were baffled when he got released. |
| News Comment | Rowe and Brown on Target as U23s Beat Birmingham at 07:05:18
Danny Rowe seems to be a real enigma. Didn't seem to be fancied by McCarthy and obviously hasn't broken into Hurst's thinking either. Is U23s really his level? Would have liked to see him get a chance rather than us bringing Jordan Graham in. If not, surely we could have got a small fee for him? |
| News Comment | Waghorn Still Expected to Be at Town Open Day at 12:24:33
If he wants to go, he'll go but I really don't think we can afford to lose him. I don't think we'll be able to find another player of his quality in this window. 8-10 million is a fantastic return on 200k but it remains to be seen what we can do with the funds. Need to replace Waggy as well as find some decent centre backs. We've looked decent (bar Braintree) in pre-season from the limited footage I've seen and the write ups on here but I can't help but feel we're going to be lacking a bit of creativity again this season. Waghorn was pretty much our sole creator in chief last season. With all the positive stuff he was posting on social media regarding Bart staying I'm disappointed to hear that it looks like he's handed in a transfer request. Let's hope this new lad Harrison hits the ground running and the team is built around players like Dozzell, Downes, Nydam and Edwards. Still feel fortunate that we managed to get Hurst as he speaks a lot of sense and is keen to prove himself at a higher level. Seems very down to earth and hopefully is the sort of manager that players want to play for. I think we'll start the season well with a win over Blackburn whether Waggy is here or not. |
| News Comment | Skuse: Exciting Times Ahead at 07:08:36
"We've had the same pre-season for five years, it's going to be a fresh start for everyone." Sense that pre-season had gotten a little stale? Same trip across to Ireland every time. Fresh pre-season with fresh ideas could be absolutely key to starting the season off right under Hurst. |
| News Comment | Town: We Have Conducted Ourselves Under EFL Guidelines at 14:56:16
Seemed like Town conducted themselves properly, waiting until after the playoffs and all, but it seems to be too much of a done deal if contact was only made yesterday. Anyway, we'll probably never know the whole truth. Let's just get it done now and give Hurst our full support. |
| News Comment | Hurst Tight-Lipped on Future After Play-Off Defeat at 04:17:57
Where have people got the Parker/Sherwood combo from? They were interviewed independently weren't they? Haven't seen any indication that they would come as a team. If Hurst is appointed (fingers crossed) let's get behind him. No need to draw McCarthy comparisons before he's even stepped through the door! |
