Phuket Pete. My wife is from Thailand, and although I have been visiting the Land of Smiles since 1993 I have never been south. Korat is where her family is from and she was a nurse in a military hospital there until I married her in 2003. She has lived with me here in the Netherlands ever since and has visited Portman Road with a few times.
I know Colin Vijoen quite well. I worked behind the bar at David Lloyds Tennis Club and he was a regular client and offered me a job managing his pub called the Nine Styles in Uxbridge but nothing came of it. He was a great player in his day, and very underrated.
I am now retired here in Holland but it is a bit nearer than Thailand when it comes to taking the odd game in. I have been a subscriber to ifollow since its inception and last season I saw Ipswich beat Doncaster United 6-0 at Portman Road along with the 1-1 home draw with Sheffield Wednesday. I like Mick Mills too. He is a very detailed football analyst and I am regularly on Final Whistle afterwards, airing my views on the Town!
We visit Thailand almost every year so next time we will endeavour to make it to Phuket - whilst it is still relatively quiet, and it would be nice to meet you over a beer somewhere, and talk all things Ipswich, and of course Thailand! |

It's a very underwhelming signing on paper this one, but some of our big buys under Cook failed miserably, most notably Harper and Pigott and Janoi Donacien, signed by Hurst, has excelled, so you never really know I guess. |

Wow, ITFC Singapore, that is quite a story! I know O'Donnells pretty well - it is by the Albert Kujp market. I have never done the ferry trip to Blighty, but it seems doable, and we went to Luxembourg to watch the Blues too when Marcus Stewart scored the only goal!

He was born in Bangkok and should be playing for Thailand and not Indonesia. He has an English father and an Indonesian mother, and we now know who wears the trousers in his house! Thailand has a far greater chance of qualifying for World Cup events in the future than Indonesia, so he has picked the wrong horse. |

Sounds like me Paphos. I watch them on ifollow and get to see them play a couple of times a season. Last time it was Sheffield Wednesday in the 1-1 draw at Portman Road, and a fabulous Tuesday night encounter with Doncaster Rovers, in the rain which ended 6-0! |
